  43.  @CHMichael  I see where that math comes from relative costs of living as you can buy anything in Africa with a twenty dollar bill (literally, anything). However, whatever finished product the Africans make must be moved to the consumer, and that may be more expensive than all other labor and material costs. Also, the lack of skilled labor and equipment means that many products cannot be made in Africa and others are cheaper to make in the developed world (like staple foods).
