Al-Jazeera is owned and operated by the Qatari aristocracy, an absolutist monarchy, but all Qatar publishes is about how evil, incompetent, and undemocratic every other nation's government is while actively suppressing information about Qatari state-run slavery scams.

The difference is in most countries outside China the slavery incidents are too small scale to make international headlines. For instance, a lot of the ores coming out of certain mines in Africa are actually stolen by muggers before it gets to the distributors and since the muggers are miners it's impossible to tell the tainted goods from the good stuff. Meanwhile in the Middle East they rig migrant labor laws so that the employer can hold the employee prisoner without consequences.
