  8. I think they're all going for illegal fishing because the rivers and farmland in China is now worthless so the big money is bringing in good fish from abroad which cannot be faked.

  9. I have a plugin that filters out Chinese goods on Amazon, but I can't choose which suppliers major brands use. That was one of Boeing's problems, they had too many turdworld contractors making inferior parts.

  14. Often a bunkbed and cafeteria is provided, so they are not in total default. Even so, city jobs are not seen as just jobs but as lottery tickets because factories tend to work like Hollywood in China. The cities are super expensive but the countryside supplying them is stupid cheap. Think 20 dollar rent in village versus 600 dollar rent in city, so farmers will get seasonal jobs between harvests in the cities and live on the streets or in a crowded dorm.

  16. The tax evading racket exists within the US too. In some states, the tax isn't as bad as others and so it is easy to bring in whole truckloads of untaxed cigarettes and half the time the stores don't even notice there's no tax stamp

  35. To be fair, US embassies have a very different issue from most. They're very bureaucrat, trying to stop common immigration issues with paperwork that only sometimes works, and they're really slow about changing things if there's a problem since everything has to be done from Washington so months long backlogs are common in complicated processes that often takes weeks to get done without backlogs. Some Mexicans said the real reason they migrated illegally was they couldn't be bothered to get permits.

  39. You can tell just by looking at it the plane is not stealth. The flat top and bottom are visible on radar no matter how good the radar-absorbing paint is... And I doubt the paint they're using even works.
