  3. Lol That's what I bought! (Model 1134) The inner seal immediately failed and all the grease shot out the bottom. The shop I worked at used a few different brands, so I thought the lincoln would be ok, but it seems as though the newer ones have some quality issues. (or at the very least did the year mine was manufactured, who knows how long it was on the shelf at the local autoparts store...)

  5. Thanks for the video! Up here they always try to get us to do 5000km (~3,000 mi) oil changes (longer on newer vehicles with oil condition monitoring). So even doing 6000mi feels like a long interval (~9,700km). But 5000km just seems like overkill. I have been doing 8,000km lately, it is saving a lot of money. I don't know about the wear though...🤷‍♀️ Maybe I could send you some oil at 5000km then 8000km to compare.

  6. Interesting. ...It would be largely determined by degradation but, you can get two batteries of the cheapest for 1 dewalt or 3 makita. Provided their useful life is around the same then you get more value charge/$ than the others. If you have two you would have nearly double the operating time for slightly less cost.   8. So, buy rims with recessed openings basically. You can't fit extra wide sockets in, you can barely fit the proper one. But... you can always remove it.

  22. I am curious how this benchmark one stacks Up. I had debated buying one of the really cheap ones. This came with 2 batteries and a drill for $100 CAD so I thought I would try it. Already I am annoyed by the trigger pull and minimum speed compared to the old dewalt. But it does the job.

  25. It's really annoying when a big, heavy, unpadded ratchet starts swinging and baging against stuff (even if it's taut and not moving much). I love having my stuff damaged... Anyway, awesome video as always, thanks!

  27. It's too bad you went that route. It's cheaper to replace the fixture and use standard (incandescent style) light bulbs. But LEDs seem to last for over a decade so, you are still better off.

  31. That $9 filter is a lot better value than the AC Delco or Fram. Wow I wonder if there is a better way to test performance. Ideally something where you can magnify the differences. I am not sure how it would work... Other than a higher speed or dyno, but then you have legality or massive expense. 🤔Maybe we can buy you a dyno. I am sure you could crowd fund one.

  37. Since moving the well water seemed to be having negative health effects. It was only after looking into it that I found those Brita type filters are only really good for 'flavour' and large particle filtration from treated tap water (and are expensive/short lived). Whereas the larger in-line systems can accept cartridges which filter down to a fraction of a micron.

  38. Diablo seems like a pretty solid brand. I bought a thin cutting wheel for an angle grinder and it cut well, lasted a long time and didn't break. The latter being the most impressive, but the fact that it didn't lose a lot of material with each cut definitely made it more cost effective than the other option I had. I would definitely be buying Irwin here. But I am interested to know if all of Diablo products are good.

  40. damn, Sour crude must inherently have engine cleaning properties. It burns way cleaner than it should in theory. ... though even if there's no smoke or carbon build up, maybe the emissions are really bad.

  50. The only downside to the echo that I can see is that it has plastic... whatever the teeth at the front are called. Probably easy to modify though.
