Oh good, now the government will have to pay for lawsuits of improper termination.

"the best people" FFS

@jacobwilkins8761 I agree, he is often very pretentious when dealing with callers, often because he simply misunderatands their questions and subsequently assumes they are just stupid. When you start a conversation in that mindset, you end up dulling your ability to listen and interpret so it is sort of self-fulfilling, but also just makes you ignore people. I think when calls were answered with Pat it gave more of a double pass. That said, he also just gets a lot of calls that are monologues not questions. So, it is understandable that he be weary... though still unprofessional.
4
But if you were to suggest that it isn't 100% effective, merely for accuracy and to inform, many would consider that anti-vaccine or vaccine alarmism. Because everyone jumps to conclusions online since text is toneless.
4
yeah... calls like this make David look bad because of how he replies. Just all kinds of misdirection to stop talking about it.
4
It was clear a long time ago that the Checks and balances are almost meaningless.

"Look at my stack of newspapers. I read so much, look at this, so many terrible things happening these days. So many great things too, great things I have done. I can't even tell you what's all in them it would take too long. Definitely a lot of fake news though. I am going to go read the art of war, I read it cover to cover every night. Tsun Tsu, I bet you don't even know who that is, no one actually reads the books I read. But I read them. I know so much, some say everything."
4
We all know how that ended

It is a shame because Yang seems more competent than biden.

Most of us predicted leaving the EU was going to lead to significant short and medium term consequences, if not long term. But no, people think you can flip a switch and kick out the immigrants and continue trading like nothing happened.

DIdn't trump admit he fired him because of the Russia investigation?

Whenever someone struggles with their communication David tries to play off their criticisms or counterpoints as unintelligible. If it were rare I wouldn't assume it was on purpose. It's just unprofessional, even if they are saying rude things to him, he should strive to be above that. I will say that in general he does better than many, so that should be applauded.
3
That's a great question, if they don't then YouTube may have legal issues around false advertisement of premium, possibly some other contract breaches.
3
Before I watch, is it that "Cancel Culture is largely frivilous and highly counter productive"? I am honestly tired of all the segregationists on the internet slipping their BS in whenever there is outrage, and the 'cancel culture' then balloons to everyone and everything vaguely reminiscent of the initial issue. Successfully distracting the mob and PREVENTING real and substantial change.
3
Hey, think of it this way... You will have greater authority over the identity politics zealots, because of the heirarchy of victim status.
3
that she likes Koch?
3
Whenever a first study is done, it recommends further study (if it is unbiased and not over stepping).
3
@randomstuff-qu7sh It's not just them, there are too many massive hypocrites in politics (and just day to day). If someone shows up to a crisis it's a photo op, if they don't it's being unsupportive.
3
@bakker071 It's all about the blade, I am sure you understand the basic chemistry of a harder material will cut a softer one. Then there is heat as a factor. I am pretty sure the border wall is just made of generic mild steel girders. I mean, we can probably look up and find exactly what the carbon content is in the steel for the wall. And probably some recommendations for how to best cut it as well. At the end of the day they could just bring a Acetylene torch, or a plasma cutter. So it's not like the wall is impenetrable. Which is still irellevant because it is not immune to the easiest option which is a rope or a ladder.
3
Knowing YouTube, they were probably all just rejected on random or copyright grounds just like any other YouTube thing. Rather than denying them on things they are actually doing (in this case likely containing false information).
3
I have always thought it was anti-democratic and completely absurd.

Singapore is spending less? does it have anything to do with proximity to low cost labour, and a lack of distribution costs associated with having a giant country?
3
A$$ho!3s aside, the gradually prevailing logic that all men are predators and that saying hello or talking to women is harassment, is harming relationship building (not that Me Too was the cause). Even if there is a conversation a woman wants to have with a cute stranger, some random sees a stranger talk to another stranger out of the blue and thinks "SAVE THE WOMAN". Then you see which of those observers get involved (If you are lucky, none). Which ironically, contradicts feminist perspectives of letting women handle their own problems (or in this case, daily lives). (Helping someone who needs help regardless of traits is a good thing. But people don't need or want strangers butting into their lives. If they are actually struggling, ask, if they decline maybe respect them enough to listen).
3
I am suspicious of the convenient timing of the glitch. I thought Republicans were big on family values? (or at least the appearance of, since politicians seem to constantly have affairs).
3
I hate to say it but, it seems like half of the Americans I meet believe the USA invented everything. Snowmobiles, the telephone, electricity, cars... the wheel apparently.
3
I would vote for Biden, I predicted this before he even ran. But IF people collectively think he will lose regardless, then Burnie should run independent for the chance of Biden pulling out after getting steamrolled. (The split is moot IF you think Biden will lose anyway). Alternatively, the two could gang up on Trump in debates then one can cede to the popular candidate before the advance votes.
3
Yeah, supreme court justices, or senators in Canada, are foolish enough. But lower federal courts? Weird.
3
Why would we be surprised?
3
yes more labels, good...
3
And what about the highly educated who know exactly how effective they are and what the side effects can be, and how non-exhaustive testing is by nature that know there should be some level of caution taken with ANY vaccine (Though in most cases it's worth it)?
3
conspiracy or no, it should be a warning to everyone to check on their stored chemicals and ensure they are secure and properly stored.
3
The self-proclaimed "Feminists", always looking for some outrage to stay relevant. It's all about how they present themselves, vs how they act and have acted. Hypocrisy weakens your argument. They of all people should know that. That said, I agree. $60,000 a year is basically the average salary (not the mode salary, or the median).
3
The ammount is irrelevant, the ammount that is a result (indirectly or directly) of their positions with the whitehouse that is important.
3
as an aside, this thing with the texts and the russia investigation is ridiculous. What? Are we supposed to pretend FBI agents aren't citizens and don't vote or have political preferences? There is no evidence (yet) suggesting they acted on or biased any findings based on these preferences.
3
no better than those telephone fraudsters
3
"Can you answer tough questions" Something you should ask everyone, something they probably do.
3
@joshuademars7439 Yeah people from both sides people of both heritages (or all, for those with an uncommonly diverse families), it breaks my heart. I hope you guys all manage to work through it for the better.
3
I think a cognative and health test for every candidate would be a good failsafe for the leadership of the country.
3
But Poland's being largely caucasian isn't necessarily a determinant of the observations he applauds.
3
SO let me get this straight. Obama had to deal with unfounded birth certificate harassment, but Trump is more a victim because he is being badgered about his AT MINIMUM (republic zelotry included) questionable behaviour.
3
Those seem like completely independent issues.
3
I liked the guest but... As usual David's take on this is garbage. And I will note, newly hypocritical based on his past comments (not that he isn't allowed to change his mind but he has simply flipped his position on the exact same things from being the king proponent of what he misleadingly called 'consequence culture' and saying "cancel culture is not a real thing", to it being a thing "but it's just The Right"). I won't rehash my entire issue, which was why I took a break from watching him. But he has become too partisan and not objective enough. This mob justice deemed 'cancel culture' is am issue period. Not one side or the other but whoever partakes. Boycotting is fine no one has to buy something, or like something. Having an opinion is fine. But when it crosses the line into coersion, or crime, discrimination by association and the somewhat tempered witch hunts, it is completely unacceptable. Have people misused the term 'cancel culture' to draw association and mislead people for political purposes, absolutely and also is not ok. But, we should not sit back and watch as people then use it as a justification to do it more just in furtherance of their own goals.
3
This is the model conduct of a police officer. I can't speak to his skill in other areas but those are teachable.
3
oh no, that just makes it funnier.
3
You are still giving a false impression of the situation with vague language focusing only on the most concerning. Please give people an accurate impression of what the virus is like (and how many cases have been identified here), who it is a big danger to, how it compares to other viruses, and how people can best protect themselves and others. Right now you are only mildly better than when trump fear mongers about something. He will blatantly lie, where as you are omitting so much that it is not a good representation. All because you don't like what the president is doing (it's fair to criticize his approach, but... your objective journalism is suffering as a result).
3
exactly, but that PROVED to literally be a witch-hunt.
3
KC No one said the murders have common sense. Though, you are talking about an adherence to laws not logic. Which is not the same. By your surface level logic, why have any laws if people can break them?
3
These sound like conspiracy theories. But then again... it is America.
3
I don't think it's realistic to say all right wingers. Over generalizations are what create and maintain this political environment where either side can do completely illogical things, and scapegoat the other side.
3
Are we just putting Yang in front of everything now?
