If you can afford to buy a new OEM compressor, you might as well buy a new car. π 15:55 Did you just call a Ford Escape a Jeep? Shame on you. π€π
1
Thanks for the interlude. π Always nice to see Lauren. Your "cloth tape" is called Cloth Friction Insulating Tape. Just thought I'd mention that. π SAVE THE RATS!!!!!!! π
1
That's what you get when you buy a Jeep. Repairs will probably cost as much as the Jeep cost. With all those problems, where do you start?
1
OOoooooooooooo special effects!! :face-blue-wide-eyes:π Reality = $$$$ Used engine = no warranty rebuilt engine = warranty
1
Always nice to see the wife unit. π When did we discover it was the radiator that was the problem? I watched vid #1 and don't remember that. Don't you think the engine should be flushed out before the radiator is installed?
1
Have your mechanic inspect any car you are thinking of buying. No brainer.
1
What a piece of crap car. Does this guy ever wash or clean it? Take pictures of each wheel and email him. If he still doesn't believe you, tell him to drag his butt down there and see for himself.
1
Always nice to see Lauren.
1
You don't have a stethoscope? What did I miss? I'm 10 min. into this video wondering why you are stripping this car down. So you're assuming the timing belt? If you used a stethoscope you would know if its the timing belt or the A/C compressor. Hate to see the tear down only for you to find out it's the A/C.
1
Nothing like starting up a space heater, while only 8 feet away, you're pumping fuel into a truck. What could possibly happen? π€π€¨
1
Fix the belt! And how much longer would it have taken to change out fuel injectors?
1
Would JB Weld stick to your split lift tank? My guess would be a bent frame or an alignment issue.
1
Mazda Tribute has a Ford drive train Always nice to see Lauren. My mechanic has donuts for delivery guys. He gets great service. Nice job Ray. Excuse the pussy cat. It used to be an eagle. YouTube didn't like the language I was using so they cut me off from commenting for 24 hours, even though I was watching videos where every nasty four letter word was being used. I guess that's OK. (?)
1
Not inflation, O'Reilly's. Shop there, pay top dollar. Almost as bad as NAPA. Only thing missing is a dodly dodly do. π Save the old motor. Remember, you bought a Dorman.
1
For the life of me, I can't understand why people buy Jeeps. What crap.
1
Don't care how "limited" it is, it's still a Jeep and a piece of junk.(my opinion)π Do you think that the vent being clogged up, might have something to do with it? π€π€¨ Jeep owner.
1
So you have both lifts tied up. Are you losing any money? BTW: Who's Cody?
1
How come the tac doesn't zero out when the engine is turned off? Truck looks like one large struggle.
1
EZ PZ
1
Sometimes there is no backlight for the switches. My Tribute has no backlight. Never has. First thing you should check is that bottom switch. If On, it prevents all the other widows from going down. i.e. child protection. When you are done, and the truck is given back to the owner, he will wonder why all the things that he never knew he had are now suddenly working. π

Β @Mike_ReganΒ Ray posted the original comment.

Let's see: Sockets from China, junk. New solvent tank, junk. Does that tell you anything? π€ You seem to be having the same day I am. βΉ After all that mayhem it's always nice to see Lauren.
1
Seeming to find out why they say it's 7 hours. You do all this working for someone else? Your Fathers tourque wrench?
1
Is management aware of your Parts Department and the problems they cause?
1
What a bear of a job. Could they throw more crap in your way? Better you than me. Good job Ray.
1
So where is troy? Who's the new Aaron guy?
1
I have no idea what you're doing. :hand-orange-covering-eyes: But I'll give you a thumbs up because it seems you know what you're doing. π
1
Does this truck run so dirty, it needs 4 converters? If it's a "non-diag job", why do you keep doing it? No air speed = no lift = no fly If those front converters are not original, I would have a talk with the people that put them in. Empty converters? You're going to have a problem trying to return them. Please let us know what happens. You might ask your neighbor, if he's been the one working on the truck.
1
Always nice to see Lauren. Owner didn't expect that bill.
1
Get it started and drive right to the junk yard.
1
Take me back to the 1950s when none of this BS existed. No actual torque specs for this part?
1
So when are we going to get Troy's story?
1
You might want to put the truck on stands instead of the jack. Much safer. See 0:46 You should know better.
1
All bundled up. Did the temperature drop to 70 degrees? π Safety is paramount. Those lift locks are there for a reason.
1
It's good to be King. A couple of small problems and you get to go home. π€¨ Suck it up Ray. Nice job on getting the Jeep down. π
1
This filmed on a Monday? You seem to be have a lot of trouble.
1
Don't you wish all radiator replacements were that easy?
1
would be interesting to know why the decline of service.
1
YEA RAY!! π€©
1
Ray, Have you thought about bringing on an apprentice? They would come in handy around there. Local vocational school could help with that.
1
Time to build a kennel for the pups at home. Big enough for a quick run and an indoor space. Set then up with auto feeders and water. That way you can leave them at home and not worry about them. But the Hyundai is pretty. Who cares that the rest of the car is crap? Isn't that the way Americans buy cars? Dyslexia kicking in Ray? P0465 should be P0456?
1
Take the bolt you have and head to the nearest hardware store and see if you can find a longer replacement. New bolt will probably cut new threads. Find a nut to fit also. (if you had a shop helper, you could send them.) Go get a new sub frame and prepare for a lot of work and cost. 40 min to the nearest hardware store? What part of the boondocks is your shop? I can say one thing. It took guts to publish this video.π
1
It's a commercial truck. What did you expect? Do you think that when you said "the other guy did or didn't do this", the "other guy" really gives a damn?
1
"Punish the next guy"? That just may be you. π€ͺ
1
That was a bit of nothing.
1
1:45 And Chrysler will not do a thing about a crappy part. Just make you keep on replacing it. I haven't received notifications from YouTube for years. Is it me, or didn't you tighten down the air intake hose from the filter box? 45:55 to 46:44 Oil price is a bit expensive.
1
That's why corporations loose they're best employees. BTW: No screws to hold the Rotors on? Always nice to see Lauren. Florida driving rules, New Jersey driving rules. There's a difference? Just had a 4.8 earthquake here in New Jersey.
1
Ever think to use liquid nitrogen?
1
That fluid on the belt won't cause a problem?
1
You are dropping every bolt you touch, because I wished it on you. I've been doing the same for two days and I thought it was time to pass it on to someone else. π
