@killerbern666 Sadly, look at what the US and Soviets did to their own people. Britain and France too.

Field Marshall Haig would be a good one, given he was a traditionalist yet also much supportive of the more effective mechanisation on the Western Front, and sought to develop modern tactics that negated the need for trench warfare. His reputation has bedn the subject of commentary ever since WW1, much of it driven by 1960's Left-wing revisionism. Definitely not perfect, the man's reputation was, however, much maligned by armchair critics.

Beria has been done.
1
Need fewer boring Americans on here.
1
Who?
1
Yeah well, given American mispronunciations of names, take one for the team.
1
The drunken unionist philanderer?
1
Then you dug under the barrel into the cesspit and elected a zombie and the shrewish Harris.
1
Today we have yet another American
1
Don't kid yourself, modern Democrats are similarly distant from JFK.
1
Hardly original, lots of you idiots reference this Vsauce tosser, whoever he is.
1
Yet Communists were around, were causing global trouble, and trying to force their vile ideology on others. People rightly dump on fascists, and should reserve the same act for communists.
1
There are several historical figures associated with betrayal, so it likely depends on your background. In many circles Benedict Arnold is a more modern, if rather American-centric figure, as is Kim Philby and, to many, both Stalin and Hitler. Outside of the anglosphere there are many other such figures.
1
Yeah, your American ways make 8s laugh.
1
A first-rate Captain, and a first-rate main-course.

His daughter was the first Hentai!
1
So...when British (in the case of this article) are hostile about illegal migrants we have a case? Thanks!
1
As one of our better Anglo-Saxon leaders said:"Democracy is the worst form of government, apart from all the others".
1
Beer seems safer.
1
True, antisemitism was rife in the US too. Still is common enough to be an issue there and elsewhere too .
1
Yes, but only of treated as fiction. Don't fall into the populist trap of getting your history (or science) from movies or TV shows.
1
Is that some sort of geeky gamer reference?
1
Better than all the tiresome videos about Americans, who are mostly gangsters or politicians...as if there is any real difference.
1
I think he felt entitled to ride on the back of the Cold War, which was over soon into his term, and the first Gulf War didn't give him that crutch. Because Reagan's successes didn't rub off on him he had to manufacture a crisis and hope it translated into votes.
1
Worst prez? Probably Wilson. Worst recent prez? Hard to say, depends on by what measure one uses.
1
One thing he rightly reformed, as mentioned near the start, was the "sclerotic bureaucracy", a factor that drags down societies today as the Public Service comes to see itself as more important than it nedds to be. Bloated bureaucracy has killed many governments, and empures. Bureaucracy is needed, but a balance must be maintained.
1
Gandhi's anti-black views were well known. MLK would have known of Gandhi's racism and perversity.
1
2) Claiming, in spite of evidence, that one doesn't have hair loss.
1
Five Americans in a row...can there be fewer Americans? There is a whole world out there.
1
Assuming the records are accurate, Pepi II, one of the later Pharaohs. His length of reign is disputed, but is thought to be around 80 years, and he died at an uncertain age, at least 88, but probably in his 90's.
1
Damn, the politics of this channel is too obviously Democrat...and blind to the actual history of that Party.
1
It was okay. Not really my thing, but offered a different perspective.
1
Funny how many belive Tylenol is the proper name of the medication, better known as Paracetamol. Or Acetaminophen in the US only.
1
@17.56, millions of Commie wannbes just got tingles of ecstatic joy, seeing El Che.
1
A lot of their income is from profit on the shipping. Pretty much all these internet companies do the same. Price of buying online, I suppose.
1
Got it in 2012, in Bangkok. Was dealt with, but it was not fun.
1
Better than an American accent!
1
@shifty1927 *you're. This Gen-X bloke can at least use the right homophone.
1
@badluck5647 lived in many Asian countries, and Cook is well known even by peoples he had no contact witg. Columbus is looked upon as a lesser man, barely an explorer.
1
Welcome for what? That American affectation is very passive-aggressive, and rarely does the person saying it deserve any thanks.
1
@josvercaemer264 Pius XII.
1
His insprations were a combination of sources, mostly Norse, but others too.
1
12 Americans in a row on this channel.
1
Or just "aluminium", as said by the entire world...except Americans.
1
Hardly original.
1
Hmmm, that comment must mean something to Americans.

@kathleensiegrist1457 Members of my family have been into genealogy too, so I learnt many techniques from experts in the field, which I was fortunately old enough to appreciate. Rule one, taught to me 25 years ago: the internet is going to be huge, so don't trust any of those websites that will exist in the future...at the time it was restricted to mostly half-arsed stuff in women's magazines and New Age ones too. Now such cons are all over the web.
1
Adblockers do a reasonable job. Not perfect but they get rid of a lot of ads.
1
Same with every president, king or prime minister. It goes with leadership of this level. I know amy sort of imperial conotation is seen as particularly pejorative, but that is mostly a Left-wing view.
1
Yet he won, Hillary lost, and Biden needed corruption to beat him. Damn, "American democracy" is a joke! Times like this make we non-Americans laugh at your idiocy.
