Although I've not been in service, and so am not really entitled to give a proper salute I will just take my cap off ( and dry my eyes a little ) for this humble, steadfast soldier, and to all those that continue to serve honourably. One of my little side-jokes is, " 364 days of the year I drink to forget, 1 day, ONE DAY, I drink to remember. To the fallen !

  23. In Vancouver, Canada's Stanley Park there's a beautiful frieze of Harding, in profile, on a stone flanked by winglike benches. Possibly to commemorate his visit there, shortly before his death. I think he was the first sitting president of the U.S.A. to visit Canada.
