As I see it living in an independent, sovereign self governing country free from international obligations and pursuing a strategy of Autarky will allow our government to make decisions that will have the best results for our country and be an example once again to the world just as the British Empire was in bringing enlightenment and values that create real progress for humanity in personal freedom, prosperity and happiness, the rewards available from accepting responsibility for your own actions and observing British Christian values. Other countries provide examples of the results from having different values, learn from them and choose for yourself where you want live, we have tried changing this country and you are living with the results.

  20.  @louiswalker5080  The EU is doomed to drag Europe into servitude, the longer it continues the lower will be it's position if it ever attempts to reconstruct itself, Europe needs strong independent countries able to co operate with each other for the benefit of all. Maybe the UK can demonstrate the way forward, we are not yet too far down the rabbit hole I think. Have you seen the website of Patriotic Alternative their plan or manifesto is exactly what a government of this country should be introducing to put this country to rights, if the Tories aren't up to the job hopefully there will be an alternative.

  21.  @louiswalker5080  I would prefer all Scots to lose their endemic hatred of the English and prosper in the union but if they think independence will make them happy they should go for it. It would be good if the rest of the UK could pre plan for their independence and publish it's intentions and how the future relationship would work with the estimated costs for building the border, operating customs checks, removing UK funded industries, their need to create their own currency and expected tariffs on Scottish imports etc. This would reduce the need for time wasting negotiations like we have had with the EU and reduce the opportunities for political B S and whining we would have to endure from Blackford and friends post a yes vote for independence.
