I read somewhere that this is WHY insurance companies total vehicles instead of repairing them, because of costs. My used 97 Camry had a sunroof. I cleaned & sprayed with silicone ever early Spring/late Fall. Never had an ounce of problems. The ONLY car I owned with a sunroof. Ahmed, what a caring human being you ARE. Such a breath of fresh air in our world today! π

βΒ @rahimlee5413Β I AGREE! Scotty USED to be good. He's not even in the same league as AMD.

I agree. Im a senior, there are some helpful features, but give me power windows, CD player/FM radio, & I'm a happy camper. ππ€£ I went from an 86 used Camry with "crank windows" to a 97 w/pwr windows & i had a 12 disc CD player. I thought I died & went to heaven. Lites on the door mΓ¬rrors that warn a car out of view is critical. Ppl hate the back up beeps, etc. To me, there are just too many important things in life to be aggravated with. πβοΈππΊπΈ

β@djplonghead5403 Seems u opened a can of worms. No one ever blames the correct reason. Your analysis is what keeps the little man down. It's called corporate greed.
95
You are TOO humble. It's your ethics, conscious, and kindness, along with expertise that got you where you are. πππΊπΈ

AMD' I LOVE THESE TYPE OF VIDEOS!! Please, by all means, make more! AND DON'T LET NEGATIVE VIEWS DISCOURAGE U! Ur dedicated viewers KNOW u! This video was VERY interesting! U know, I hardly watch tv anymore.ππ€£ I like the "blade" trick! Thnx! I'd like to see one on head gaskets & how we can diagnose asap to avoid damage. Speaking of that, what do u think of an add-on temperature guage? They make thru radiator hose. I hate not having one. I value ur opinion. ππ
78
You bring back SO MANY MEMORIES of my high school auto shop in the late 60's. I STILL am interested. π
55
Great advice AMD! I'm not bragging, I AM GRATEFUL I bought my prius new in 2019. For ONCE in my life, timing worked to my side. My heart goes out to ppl who are in dire need for a vehicle. My prayers & support goes out to u ppl. Good luck in all u do!π
49
I JUST saw a white VENZA 2 days ago on the road & it caught my eye how nice it looked! Very classy! ππΊπΈ
47
WOW! Hold the spring!! AMAZING!!! I'm a do it urselfer, auto shop in HS, & GM trained in the 70's, worked as a mechanic in a gas station, & now a senior. I've learned SO much from all ur videos! U dont KNOW how good u REALLY ARE! ππΊπΈ
40
We have ALL made mistakes. I have the utmost sympathy for this customer. It's a beautiful Highlander/well kept. He's just merely trying to keep it nice. Thank you for sharing this misfortune to help others. πβοΈππΊπΈ
36
Life was SO simple. Hell, I thought having air, pwr windows, & FM radio & I was styling!
33
I'm 71 senior, go with a Camry, you won't be sorry. But just like he said, have someone go over it. It's worth paying for and to assure that you made a great choice. If not, saved you $$$.
33
I'd be happy sweeping floors jst to witness in person.ππ€£π€
32
I hate u! πππ€£π€£ Seriously, good for u! π I KNOW I'd go there! πβππΊπΈ
28
I wish that gentleman best of luck. I believe you AND he are going the correct route. With 90,000 miles, if tranny seems all right, I'd TAKE a chance & fix shocks then axles. Only 90,000 is worth the risk. After repairing everything, he ought to get an undercoating job done. It will prolong lines & frame. Looks in great shape! And STILL better than car payments/price of a new one. π
22
My 97 camry had 265,000 miles but was a rust bucket. I saved up & got my 2019 prius new. I'm a senior & it's my last car I'll own. I do my own maintenance, got it undercoated with fluid film & touched up every year. I will run it until the wheels fall off.
20
It IS so hard to match old vs new paint. I think the side of the back bumper looks SO MUCH better! Your Lexus is looking SUPER! Nicely done! π
19
Gorgeous car! Immaculate! I hope he gets bottom undercoated w/ fluid film or other similiar bc bottom sides look so nice!! He's got alot if miles left & car is worth finishing. Hope it all turns out well for him! πππΊπΈ
18
Tell ur buddy, go to 300,000 miles! Looks like he took excellent car of it! (Especially w/ car prices/chip probs). U crack me up "I'm under the car, no, engine isnt talkn to u". Hey AMD, sometimes ur car DOES talk to u (tells u ur neglecting it).π I have always wondered who 1st thought of the screwdriver stethescope?π€ Great video as usual! π
18
I'm SO happy for u! U have come a long way from dealership, to JST opening & running it alone, & now how u have increased your work force. Could not happen to a better man! Shop STILL looks great! πβππΊπΈ
15
Yes, I agree! Ur method has wrkd for me for decades.
14
Just love ppl who have really taken care of their vehicle. Glad he's getting a starter. I'd replace exhaust manifold also. Beat while you're in there. It has alot of life left in it, why not? πβππΊπΈ
14
Wow! This is what separates the men from the boys. I agree with the owner. Do it once, do it right. Jose' is awsome, isnt he? Great job as usual AMD. π π
14
ππ€£ Loved the RIP drama, but seriously, my heart went out when engine was blown. We're all Toyota family & look out for one another. GREAT video! NICE Highlander! So live long & prosper! ππΊπΈβπ
12
I LIKE the two toned AMD. Over in Europe the CH-R, YARIS, & AYGO all have that two tone combo. I ALSO love the 21" wheels. Saying this, I wouldnt want price of tires, car, & cost of repairs, I'm sure. ππΊπΈ
12
THANK YOU AMD!!! VERY INFORMATIVE! I WONDERED how often & see, I'd be spraying throttle body cleaner IN the throttle body. I figure it'd evaporate. I KNOW better now being there's a motor.π
12
Could u imagine if u changed @10,000 miles like Toyota wants & all that debris? I love that paint (pearlescent white). I am so mad, I thought engines were broke in when I got my 2019 Prius. But I DID change at under 5,000 miles because 6mos came sooner. There's a site on utube called "Whip city" & he cuts all brand oil filters, great guy. πΊπΈπ
11
If I didn't live in the rust belt, I'd STILL have my 97 Camry. I agree, but some of us can't. But I agree, run it until the wheels fall off.
11
Thank u SO MUCH for the advice on steering column! That customer is SO fortunate to HAVE u as his mechanic. Nice lookn Corolla! Hope he does ALL the work. I'd say, do what u need to.π Lookn forward to upcoming videos!!π
11
With hurricanes, tornadoes, & floods.π€ PLUS, ppl just aren't maintaining them. They put gas in them and run them until the wheels fall off. Oil changes? What's that? Heck, u can't even have diy'ers agree on changing oil @ 5,000 miles/6mos. πππΊπΈ
10
The heat exchanger IS covered under warranty if you are within the time span. If not, u can bypass the cooling lines in two ways.
10
βΒ @SlwRprΒ ππ€£ I don't mean to laugh. I'm 71, & have to work in MY gravel driveway. But it makes me grateful, one, I save money, two, it's done to my satisfaction, & three, thankful I'm still able to do it. (although, if I'm down too long, I pay for it for weeks).πβοΈππ
10
I JUST LOVE your analogy of cars! I LIKE the color & wheels. I agree with Toyota trims. I always felt my Limited should have all the lights Prime has. Put some LED/fog driving lites on them. Fronts look cheap. Even Mitsubishi's π€’ dress theirs up. Love to see your analysis on new regular Prius & heard their coming out with a GR Prius.π I'm an old fart but still like sporty.π€ Thank u for all u do!π
10
U are remarkable! Such accents to detail! I'd LOVE to know what brand oil he used & how often he changed it! He has my respect! Love the "Car Care Nut πͺ Family"! Makes me feel I'm not alone. ππ€
10
Great analysis on prius. Great 1st car for a young person! Thnx for pointing out rust spots so I can avoid on my gen 4 prius. I drove an old beetle in my 20's & I brush painted w/automotive paint w/retardant so brush marks fade.π€ Looked great! π
10
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT VIDEO, AMD!! This is EXACTLY what I do w/my 2019 Prius. I avg 59.1 mpgs & at times 61mpgs. I AM aware of my surroundings, have to stay in right lane, have to do it safely or not at all. When no one is around, I "do my thing". I do even to the point where I took my calipers off/ cleaned & lubed them. I only have 16,000 miles on it, AND I THANK GOD, I thot out a hybrid, & got my Prius. (May regret not have gotten a hybrid Camry) but not disappointed at all. I keep 38lbs in back/40lbs in front. I have 55lbs max stated on tires & I'm well under for expansion. π
10
AMD really wants to inform us. Scotty has changed, clik bait king now. Very disappointed.
10
GOOD FOR YOU! I tried to teach my ex & she could care less!. π

Can't beat the price. I own a 2019 Prius, but if Corolla Cross hybrids were out, I may have bought them. I've owned used Camry's & envied how sporty Corollas were/are. My prius is smaller than my Camry's, but I was looking for fuel efficiency. I'm quite happy with mine. And u will too on your Corolla if u keep maintained. βοΈπ
9
GORGEOUS PRIME!! My 2019 Prius Limited has 16,000 miles & I hope MINE looks that good! Love that color too! I also love Prime's exterior lights. I wish him the best. Im routing for him as a fellow Prius owner & Car Care Nut goomba! π€

Ahmed, you ALWAYS go the extra mile. To go to the extent you went, NO ONE would do but us CCN's. At least starter was in a good place. I thought a V6, it would be all the way in the back. GREAT JOB! πβοΈππΊπΈ
8
I TOTALLY AGREE. Ran my air on my 97 Camry & had 0 problems, NEVER serviced it. I do it on my 19 Prius & always will. I was always taught refrigerant lubricates rubber parts. I try & do when its not sub zero temps. Plus in winter, u step in snow, ur shoes are wet/carpet gets wet MORE steaming up windows.π
8
EXCELLENT!! What u say is EXACTLY these Camry's! Everything I had to do for my 97. Tell him to undercoat cross member under canister. Front of it & inside rust out. And his gas tank filler tube. WOW, it's beautiful. I would have kept MINE if it looked that good. I loved that car!! I added a spoiler & 16" wheels.π
8
I'd probably go to a custom exhaust place & have them weld a connection.ππ€
8
Ahmed, your videos are SO GOOD. I've learned so much from your videos. Great timing since Camry's will only be hybrid in 2025. Once again, thank you! πβοΈππΊπΈ
8
I AGREE! WELL DONE!
8
ππ€£ Don't mean to laugh, but you are such an interesting story teller. So nice to see kindness in today's world. I see more & more women taking a liking into care for their vehicles. GX looks great Mrs Car Care! ππ
8
I agree, the simplier, the better! π
8
U are SO impressive! I dont even OWN this engine but I'm in awe with how u work. U definitely arent paid enough for what u do. Thank u!
