Perhaps you visited the buildings and stepped from the elevator looking out because although 'open plan' the stairwells, pipe chases for bathrooms, elevator shafts etc were efficiently among the core columns so disguised.

Therefore in the proposed gravitational collapses of the towers the Marriot should have received a greater amount of debris falling down onto it. More debris which would have been just as incendiary. The Marriot was a 22 storey hotel clearly visible on ground plans of the WTC , designated as World Trade Centre 3
