  13. Long term, Israel can't win. They haven't defeated Hamas in a year now they've taken on the much more powerful Hezbollah. Their treatment of Palestinians has antagonised the entire Muslim world and much of the rest of the world too. Their economy is held up only by American aid and most of the smarter people are leaving. Doesn't look good long term. America is obviously declining as a global hegemon and without US backing Israel is badly outnumbered. Long term too, they'll lose their stranglehold over US politicians.

The war started when Georgia attacked Russian peacekeepers. Putin was taken completely by surprise. Only takes a couple of hours to look into.

  18. No because the Palestinians have a higher birth-rate, the Zionists in America are gradually losing credibility and the most productive people in Israel have packed up and left in large numbers. Israel has made an enemy of all of its neighbours in a tough neighbourhood. Its future looks pretty bleak. All it takes is for a future US government to say ok we're sick of this country dragging us into wars, sick of its brutality and land grabs and its neighbours will have many decades of scores to pay back.

  20. People in Britain often have an unrealistic understanding of Indians because the Indians in Britain tend to be from the intellectual elite. As for the over a billion of them in India, the average IQ is about 85 which is about a standard deviation lower than in Britain.

Intelligence agencies train operatives to be good enough to impersonate a native speaker in a foreign language through study, immersion and tutoring. It might take as long as a year but you're claiming five years. You're massively overestimating how long it takes at least some people to learn a language. I speak French and have dabbled in Italian and Spanish. I went on holiday to Portugal without speaking any Portuguese but over a week I read Teach Yourself Portuguese and by the end of the week I could have a pretty decent conversation with people. That's not even immersion, that's just pretty casual. Likewise I picked up Afrikaans over a month to the point where I could have a decent conversation, my starting point was Dutch. If you're actually getting lessons you can make rapid progress. If you're getting 8 hours per day immersion you're going to learn in no time if you're of at least average intelligence. Yes a lot will depend on the language. Learning Russian is harder than Portuguese and Chinese is going to much harder still.

By the OP's logic (not mine) that makes the Israeli population responsible for each woman, child and non combatant man killed in Gaza, for every civilian building destroyed and for the starvation and lack of medical care there. In fact the same argument has been made by both sides in most major wars.

  40. Russian soldiers tend to me much younger and the pace of territorial captures has sped up a lot. The Russians have taken more land in the last two months than they did all of last year. As the Ukrainian army weakens, we'll get back to manoeuvre warfare.

You're statistically almost ten times more likely to be arrested in Britain for speech/media post related "crimes" than in Russia. And even though the Russian state has generally good relations with its Muslim population the state is explicitly pro-Christian.
