  6.  @amorphousblob2721  The main problem I see are the several infiltration operations of political nature that the Linux community has been suffering for a while now. Rust is just another example. It is bonkers to use an ever changing, unstable language that is not adequate for systems, to essentially code parts of the kernel (drivers, in a monolithic kernel, are parts of the kernel). The kernel has reached a level of stability that had not before, but it seems that crapification has to happen. We can't have good things, and I bet Micro$oft is applauding, instead of looking to improve their joke products.

  10. All thanks to the "own nothing be happy" initiative from the WEF. I was considering moving to Blu-Ray for archival purposes, and now I have no storage alternative for my video files (yes, my own work). There is no reason for a format such as that to die, being in full use for just less than 20 years.
