Flynn was in a civilian political post. Milley on the other hand, was in a purely military advisory position. The chain of command is president, secretary of defense, then military. The Chairman of joint chiefs is not in the chain of command. He is there to advise the pres. and Sec. of Def. I don't even remember what Flynn was charged with, and plead guilty to, because he didn't do anything inappropriate.

I'm going to celebrate if there is a red wave because of the Kavanaugh nonsense. Democrats: "Hey. It's just a job interview. There's no presumption of innocence, or due process." Normal person: "What do I do if I'm accused of a crime I didn't do, and thus made unemployable?" Democrats: "Do you have a penis or a vagina?"
28
@jwenting No. I think it's in the statute that you can't press charges after some period after the supposed crime happened. The supposed hush money payment was in 2016. There's a 5 year statute of limitations. That's just one of many issues that make this case unlawful. Bragg raised the charges to felonies, using a clause that says if the book keeping was done to cover up a crime. But how can Bragg (and a state court) judge whether federal campaign law was broken? The State court can't prosecute federal law. There's also the Robert J. Costello testimony. Cohen's former lawyer testified that Cohen is a liar and "Trump had nothing to do with the payment". You can't put someone on the stand whose own lawyer testifies is a liar. Trump isn't the one going down with this.

If he rises from the dead in Jet Li's body and kung fu fights Romans, then I'll see it.
27
It was funny that she was hoping to get enough Democrat votes...to win in Wyoming. She might win among Yellowstone employees, but that's not going to do it.
27
@Kastor0311 They don't like Trump, but it's good business.
27
Yep. He knows what pushes their buttons.
26
Yesterday, when you googled Glenn Greenwald it said "Far right journalist.." It's corrected now. But that's pretty funny. I suppose Noam Chomsky is also "far right" for being pro-free speech.
26
He'll be lying in state in the Capitol and CNN will say "It was a stutter."
25
He's even a doofus in his TDS. Because he didn't anticipate that Biden would cause a recession.
25
@jamesmorrow1646 "For the same crimes Cohen was sentenced for." Trump didn't commit those crimes. If you're thinking the campaign finance violation, Trump can donate any amount to his own campaign. He can't be prosecuted for exceeding a limit, because there is none.
25
Aren't the majority just sick of this. For example, Trump once told some people that "In America veterans are treated like losers and suckers." The meaning is clear. Then in the media it becomes "Trump called veterans losers and suckers." It's exactly like having an argument with a stupid person.
25
This is the same as saying "The S and P 500 went up 10% in the last month." But it dropped 25% since last February. So it dropped 15% in less than 6 months, eliminating all gains since Biden entered office.
24
I found the actual sentence from an April 9 video. ""America is a nation that can be defined in a single word, shbwabshobiwsushsdfjsdhwosf. I was in the the foothills of the Himalayas with Xi Jinping, traveling with him, that's when I traveled 17,000 miles when I was Vice President—I don't know that for a fact." WTF?
24
As Chris Rock once said, "There's old people. And then there's old geezers."
24
How about the gaslight from Christopher Wray that "he doesn't know if Trump was hit by a bullet."
24
@spiritmatter1553 I'm having fun imagining the shrieking "This is the end of democracy!!!!!!!!!!!"
24
He obviously didn't do it by accident in Minneapolis. He had no check bags, so he knew it wasn't his. And the surveillance footage shows him pulling the owner's ID tag off of it. Committing the same crime (a felony) just after getting charged is brazen. He needs to be convicted and given the usual sentence.
24
@limitlessapocalypse2702 An ex-president can view any classified documents. The document classification authority originates with the President as Commander in Chief.
23
There's a video where Cubans are trying to get Che Guevara's 59 Chevrolet running, as a patriotic act. It went about a half a kilometer before it broke down again. My thought was "Good job Che. You shot all those people for this? A country where you can't even fix a chevrolet."
23
The "movement has been hijacked"---from violent felons to the anti-Israel lobby.
23
@soelvfaks1 It makes you wonder how these psychos are able to dehumanize people no in their ideological cult. He was just a teen. Teens believe all sorts of things. And different things a year later.
22
"It takes a smart man to play dumb." Mr. T, circa 1985.
22
The Babylon Bee had the best take. "Awkward: Supreme Court rules affirmative action illegal, with diversity hire right there."
22
There was the other gaff "America can be described by one word shichushichushisisuchussss...."
22
Biden has a potemkin village of hair. It's just like looking into N. Korea over the DMZ.
22
People are actually dumb enough to think that their taxes are higher because their refund is smaller? That must be the same people that think health care is free when it's covered by insurance.
21
That's because he has political power, and he obtained it the "wrong" way, by winning an election, rather than playing machine politics.
21
@jamesmorrow1646 "illegally paying her off." You can't just make up laws. Ms Clifford owes Trump $620k for the lawsuits she has lost.
21
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people changing for the better. But to run such an inflammatory ad is gross.
21
The mainstream media has been calling Trump a Putin toady as a deflection from the Brandon administration's abject weakness. They set this up to happen by cutting oil production and raising oil to $100/barrel. Thanks to Brandon, Putin can afford this.
21
@angelmessenger8240 They couldn't care less about conflict of interest. So why should we. More important, is that the president has the plenary power to declassify anything. At least 6 of the justice will rule so.
21
"Code blue!"
21
The indictment is too nonsensical to even defend against. It doesn't state the "crime" he covered up. Furthermore, there are signed written statements from Ms. Daniels stating the affair never happened, and from Cohen's former lawyer stating that Trump had nothing to do with the payment.
20
You forgot "My son died in Iraq, and my first wife died from a drunk driver."
20
They'd need to "cancel" him. Biden and his inner circle will never drop out willingly, so they have to do what they did to Andrew Cuomo. But they wouldn't have time to recover politically. So they're stuck with the Weekend at Bernies situation.
20
You can actually go to N. Korea just as a tourist. You just go to Beijing, and go to the N. Korea consulate and get a visa.
20
CNN called Trump "very angry" and "ranting", and "Trump said he would win in 2020 to boos from the crowd." In the video he's in good spirits, joking with the police he's meeting with, boasted about the state of the country, and said "when I'm no longer president..hopefully in 6.5 years (loud applause) the NT Times will be out of business." They just outright lie about everything.
20
@angelmessenger8240 Hopefully these Soviet tactics will backfire. Trump lost votes from the bourgeoisie in 2020 because they thought there would be less drama with an establishment president. But how do they like Stalinist tactics?
20
Oz did a good job in what I saw. Bringing up the incident where Fetterman chased a black man and pulled a shot gun on him was brutal. Apparently, Fetterman assumed that a random innocent man was fleeing a robbery or something.
20
They've lost all the American tourists. My home town in the US is more liberal with dope than Amsterdam now.
19
It's the Police Squad "Nothing to see here" meme at this point. They appointed a special prosecutor to go after Trump, the day after he announced his candidacy.
19
The guy literally said "inflation is misinformation" on Piers Morgan's show. Then when pressed he couldn't grasp that inflation can drop, but it's high prices that are the problem. Telling people to eat shit over the high prices is exactly what drove people to vote Trump.
19
Their story of "deescalation" doesn't explain why the police would be unlocking doors for Chansley. There's an extreme disparity between the actions of the police and the DOJ. This is the equivalent, to checking out a construction site, and the workers gave you a tour of the building, and then days later the police show up at your house and arrest you for trespass. That's entrapment, and would only be done maliciously.
19
Especially considering that the neck hold is official police procedure in Minneapolis. Perhaps Floyd's family could sue the city. But how to you convict a cop for following trained procedure? Cities are really going to have difficulty hiring cops. Who in their right mind would work as a cop if their life can get ruined just because some schmuck their arresting dies of an OD?
19
It was a near fatal stroke. It can't be a good idea to take a stressful full time job.
19
I predict the SCOTUS will rule that ex-presidents have partial immunity, which will put an end to most of this. They like to rule in ways to promote stability. And unlike Bragg, Letisha James, Jack Smith, Fani Willis, they also have respect for legal precedent and constitutional law.
19
@monkeygraborange Playing dumb is the strangest propaganda tactic. It requires group think. They all had to simultaneously pretend that putting physical wires on a phone box was at all relevant. We don't change our idioms just because the technology changes. People still "film movies" even though 90% are done with digital equipment.
19
@stephenw2992 If that's the case, it sounds like prostitution. 42 is very old in gay culture, let alone 82.
19
@jwenting I'm not sure what you're trying to say. The statute of limitations puts a time limit on prosecuting a case. If someone was put convicted in a case brought after the statute of limitations expired, then they must have had an incredibly incompetent lawyer and a crooked judge, and should appeal.
