LMAO it's inappropriate that votes should be counted if they can't be counted in 6 hours, the approximate time from close of polls to the Trump deadline. So they should declare the election with only half the votes counted, this seems like a reality tv show way of doing things where the producers leave plenty of leeway in the rules.

Do you believe Australia or South Korea for arguments sake are telling the truth. Whatever your answer is , it will lead you to the same conclusion.
1
@ConvictedFelon2024 So that means there was no reason China couldn't have detected cases outside of Wuhan after the lockdown, because other provinces were in the same situation as other countries. As far as the death toll in Wuhan , the official death toll is probably lower than the real toll, it would likely be a few hundred more or at the outside double. Any locality with large case loads will not be an accurate number but a pretty good guide. Testing numbers and positive cases are probably less accurate due to double counting sometimes.
1
You are a democracy but low functioning by international standards. I am Australian and I would actually trust an Indonesian election for fairness above the US. To be fair I haven't looked into their system so I don't actually know, just an impression and I do know the US system is how it is.

Military don't normally get much training in crowd control.

In a relative sense inner city Chicago is 10 times more dangerous, the deaths on the Israeli side are less than a bad Chicago weekend yet the population of Chicago is only 8 million versus 10 million in Israel. Anyway I am not American, they would prefer to spend $ 4 billion a year protecting a safe country than their own citizens in many US cities that are far more dangerous.
1
China numbers are more accurate now than US numbers. If you only have 10s of cases to count and the occasional body it's not hard.
1
The one in ten isn't disproportionate to the overall population, what's your point?
1
Maybe that's a fair emotional response but not realistic.
1
A few months ago a significant proportion of Trump supporters were doctors according to comments on youtube, I guess you are similar to those long list of youtube doctors.
1
@farmsim_usa9235 You must be happy then with your 5 times homicide rate and 500,000 dead from a virus , a 16% of GDP estimated government deficit, so I hope you got to travel around the world or US and took advantage of your freedoms. I wonder how much training the shooter had.
1
@angrr5074 it's an open carry jurisdiction with a magazine limit of 15. Concealed carry with a permit. So the law is already perfect for those who thinks it makes a difference.
1
I like the lady at the end. She is probably better presidential material than the 2 candidates and said all people are equal and no one should act superior to another and people should come together to fix the country.
1
@insectbite1714 Normally grading a wire is 0.5, 0.6, 1mm etc . What is this exciting new grading called 5G?
1
Yeah I wish the US would get it's act together, being China's number 1 trade and propaganda adversary for a while isn't much fun for my country. They don't need to run any propaganda against the US, because it's doing a good job on its own , they can just honestly report the news. Best of luck from Australia 🇦🇺
1
@sandisom23 the Wuhan strain died out months ago, it can't compete against the thoroughbred.
1
Imagine if such attacks happened in a US city and 10 people died over a week, like has occurred in Israel a population of 10 million. What would the US do. Chicago population 8 million , this conflict on the Israeli side of things is safer than Chicago, not even a particularly bad weekend for homicides if it was Chicago.

John Patriot eagle freedom boner But Bill Gates is putting chips in the aluminum foil.
1
Well on that basis I guess it's lucky a left wing radical got killed so the right wing radical can learn.
1
@Hidinginthetreeline I am Australian and what I see in the US to me is a low level civil war. Both left and right and both major parties unfortunately not condemning all actors without equivocation. The US has a serious rule of law problem. If Biden wins hopefully it will make things calmer but I wouldn't be certain. Harris might help with general reform of how police operate, noting the federal government probably has very little power to do anything other than set guidelines, but if done well it might work.
1
☣️ you forgot one
1
Yeah rightio, Trump the dictator is going to get 90% vote . Keep believing that and don't worry about voting because you have the numbers.
1
Very strange comments in this thread. So the US currently has about 400,000 people in prison on health related offences about double the per capita rate of Australia yet you decry how free the US is. If you haven't worked it out drug charges are a health issue with less consequences to others than covid 19. Is locking up and or arresting maybe 100 individuals in all of Australia because they put others at risk worth it to save 25,000 lives noting that deaths from covid 19 and a poor response had killed 300,000 approximately between January 26 and October 3 in the US with 200,000 excess deaths directly attributable to the virus and the rest one has to assume the poor response. My answer is 100 annoyed people is better than 25,000 body bags adjusting for Australia's population. As far as business goes the US is not fully open , Australia is other than those businesses relying on tourists and overseas students. Overseas students are starting to return so things can get better. China has decided to start a trade war with Australia so it will have an economic impact not related to covid19 or it's response.
1
The percentages will tend to line up because elderly people generally have enough common sense to get vaccinated whereas younger age groups don't care.
1
Didn't he chuck toilet paper to them after some hurricane. Why wouldn't they love him?
1
@dianetaylor8278 ok , I didn't know that.
1
That's why in my opinion police should be state not local, I think this situation is unique to the US and it leads to problems in my opinion.
1
@eljefemaximo5420 Omicron wasn't the first variant and won't be the last, getting vaccinated including booster is sensible. Maybe next variant is far worse than Omicron, nobody knows.
1
The only one I disagree is the Covid deaths. If things were done really well the US would still have thousands of deaths , say 5,000 to 10,000 given the difficulties dealing with state governments that's an absolute minimum. Your number will be correct in a week or 2 though so not all is lost.
1
The body bags will start to pile up after the election, full opening was at start of October, hospitalisations I guess are starting to rise now, deaths will start to rise around 4 to 8 weeks. If you look at the numbers in Victoria Australia (population 6,500,000) that looks like they came back from a very bad situation now with daily cases below 10 the pattern I describe is approximate lag times from the peak.
1
Well he sent his daughter to a G20 meeting with world leaders once , this is actually no worse than that.
1
I hope so lol , got a few $1,000 riding on it
1
Looking back at an old article of news "record cases 23 October 83,000 cases", US is now at about 100,000 cases per day and deaths although lagging behind case counts and should go down soon at about 3,000 per day. Time to celebrate Americans open up and when the snow clears you can all see if you can catch a new variant or something considering your immunity from a year ago is probably reducing. Maybe herd immunity is kicking in as was thought the case 6 months ago or just maybe the optimists are wrong again. It's true it could be either , I guess we will find out in about 2 months, best to as Trump said " fight the virus head on [by getting infected] ", at least it's a bipartisan approach I suppose.
1
Those running the tests are making millions, more infections = more testing = more money. If I owned shares in one of those companies every stupid protest including BLM or this mob I am seeing dollar signs.
1
You still doing this lol? In Queensland Australia we still at February 2020, we still covid 0 but border slowly opening soon.
1
@dixieward626 So when some dies of pneumonia caused by covid 19 they shouldn't be counted? This is just one common example.
1
The problem is his base are often poor folks who won't bail him out.
1
Sam Boudreau you seem like a person that will listen. The problem is in many cases one group outnumber another. So it incorrectly seems to that group that the other group is more racist. For arguments sake there is 70% white 5% East Asian and 15% black people. They are all equally racist at a rate of 10% ( the most racist town in US) out of 100 people there are 7 or 8 racists against blacks but only one or two black racist against white and East Asian. This is the problem. So even though the racism is identical as a black person you will become hypersensitive and over estimate the amount of racists because you encounter it at 5 or 6 times the rate. Another issue is violence and young black males proportionally cause more violence and it's concentrated in certain areas. So those especially young black men not involved which is the vast majority (noting some areas with public housing and basically a segregated black community are truly dangerous) are treated with suspicion. At the moment it's an intractable problem.

How is it the smart Chinese could contain it and the US couldn't? For you to be correct China must be a much superior nation. I don't think this is the case they had some initial failures but by Jan 20 they realised as did the entire world, before this China didn't realize otherwise they would have stopped it spreading around China and locked Wuhan down earlier. Why couldn't the US stop the spread internally if it was such an easy thing to do?
1
In this comment section it's about 5 like you and 95 saying Trump won. There numbers although not the majority of Americans are still significant.
1
@jackiepaper6464 first of all I am Australian and of course Biden won or he has pulled a conspiracy involving 1,000s of people including many Republicans , which would make him the genius of the century, he doesn't look that smart to me. The comments in abc videos always run Trump's way for some reason, which I don't really understand. To me it seems like one of the most balanced news network with no strong bias unlike a couple of others.
1
Given her age she is certainly good.
1
Trump didn't concede , concession goes something like this ," I congratulate Joe Biden on becoming the 46th president elected in the USA......and I say thankyou to all my supporters...."
1
I am not American but I think in the order of $10 per hour would be better because the minimum now is something like $2 per hour for waiter/ress who is expected to get tips. Maybe some cultural change could occur where tips are voluntary as is probably the most common custom around the world.
1
Probably but not certainly. For arguments sake it could have been found in trash.
1
Why does the US celebrate a socialist holiday? Seems a large proportion of people are hypocrites because they should protest and demand it's cancellation. Or alternatively people are ok with a certain level of socialism and just use the word socialist as an insult without actually knowing what socialism is.
1
@melvincastillo2496 Masks were used in the US during the Spanish flu with a mandate in some states. I realise they didn't have tv then but I think the reports that this occured are correct.
1
@melvincastillo2496 Well TB is totally curable unless you are on your deathbed. I guess you are in the US so not too hard to go to a hospital maybe stay there for a while and get antibiotics. There was a plan to try and eliminate it in less well off places by 2022. This however would be on the back burner because dealing with COVI sars2 is of higher priority. I don't know what your search turned up regarding restrictions in the US and Spanish flu but indications were the masks at that time didn't particularly produce a noticeable difference, social distancing did. Please consider the time though. Running water etc. Was not like now. Common sense does however tell you a mask even a flimsy cloth thing will filter the air going in and out of your mouth. If you are really concerned about the lack of use of cloth then wear an N95 mask like a health professional will and they are proven to work highly effectively if used properly. The medical staff and first responder in NY had a lower infection rate than the general population.
1
@melvincastillo2496 Well politics are involved. Would you be happy if 3% of your tax was spent on foreign aid primarily in healthcare. Personally I would but the majority in rich countries think otherwise so with limited money things take time. This doesn't discount the threat that covi-sars2 is. As you have pointed out with all the efforts so far and minimal spread already the same death rate by population actually as TB because it's only 6 months. If 10% of the world was infected with COVI sars2 imagine the numbers.
1
The question is was he trespassing. This news report didn't answer that. Lucky he wasn't in the Hood I suppose, they don't muck around like that, they just put a cap in you.
