One thing that surprised me is how calm and collected Nancy was despite the situation.

As an Aussie please save your country, we in Australia have agreements which should be honored, we gave up the idea of nuclear weapons because we have an agreement in place, I don't trust the Republicans especially Trump to honor that agreement. Please vote Blue, I am a center right Australian.

To the second question, yes he's on Russian tv all the time. The beautiful thing about it for Russia is they can do honest direct translation and limited editing, no need to make stuff up.

I am not American but have to say this really really effective. I have biological niece and non biological niece and this ad would work on me if i was American.
18
She is like your friends, she just parroting Putin's position which is indirectly Trump's position as he referred to Putin as a genius for invading.
16
@KittykatOz American Exceptionalism is inward looking arrogance that the US is always the best. If the US is always exceptional then no reason to look at why other countries are better on whatever key measure is being looked at. So excuses are then made of it being someone else's fault.

He is so blatent about it, that's the amazing thing. It's the thing that I believe will lose him the election. It's not a given but some who would support him otherwise would think this is crossing the line, they would prefer the other candidate win rather than these really dirty tactics.
14
It's virtually a carbon copy of the original " it's morning in America" ad for Ronald Reagan. Search for it and you should be able to find it. Ronald Reagan was probably turning over in his grave from what his Make America Great Again slogan became, now he can rest in peace again and don't think he would mind the Morning in America being used for Biden. Biden has much more of the characteristics of Reagan than Trump will ever have.

Anyway most federally elected Republicans have already caught the virus , so what conclusions should one reach? Speaking from another land so not my business but just curious.
11
There is a bit of whoever keeps their mouth shut has a better chance. Both candidates are prone to major stuff ups but one is President so can't go completely silent especially now because he has made himself almost a daily news item.
11
@Real M You mean the people afflicted with the America Virus known as Qanon, unfortunately it has infected the English speaking world. It'll go away I expect but needs time and the infection rates outside of the US aren't quite as bad.
10
@bignose8614 Nah, my observation from Australia is Trump is highly problematic but Johnson is maybe not the best choice but he doesn't incite social division or certainly not in the way Trump does. Division in the US is the greatest threat to their country in a way.
10
That's the playbook of every authoritarian.

Video games are nothing to do with anything, every wealthy country has equal access to video games however one country the US has a homicide rate 5 times that of the average wealthy country and guns (peaceful people with guns would not be a big issue but the US isn't peaceful) and culture are to blame.

Reed Galen's appeal is great, I would seriously consider sending you money but I'm Australian and even if I could get around donation rules I wouldn't want to. I send my best wishes, while I think your democracy needs to be refurbished as in the constitution needs changing first you need to keep it a democracy before considering what needs to be changed.
9
Hey that's not fair, Mary Trump is against many of the things Donald does.
9
Obviously it will be Toyota Corporation USA or whatever it's called. Should corporations be allowed to contribute political donations , in my opinion no and unfortunately it's the same in Australia. If you want any sort of free market allowing only US majority owned corporations to donate well what do you think would happen. Same thing laws will start to be put in place to protect the US companies at the expense of the consumer. Truth is that already happens to some extent in the US which is a bit protectionist.

Good ad.

@Dandelionfleur Don't sugar-coat the numbers , excess deaths are more than 300,000 and most of the non Covid 19 deaths are to do with the handling of the pandemic.
8
The Communist Party of China is anti union too, how about that.
8
Didn't mind the Christian Taliban guy, at least he's honest about the policies which makes him more honorable than the rest.
7
Historically that's not the way it tends to go unless you are a racial or ethnic group they don't like, the regular way is you put a Trump flag on your balcony or in your yard so you won't be attacked. The US isn't like that yet but viewing from afar it seems like some rural pockets in certain states aren't that far away from becoming like that.

I have read through the comments on this thread. Don't you realise those passionate about Trump and those passionate about getting rid of him are peas in the same pod quite often. Until you as Americans can talk to each other without insults not much can change. See who voted for Trump who is his base? It's the "disadvantaged" poor white male. White males in the US are much more likely to die a violent death than any other group due to suicide plus of course but at a lower rate homicide. Don't listen to these people s concerns at your peril. Same applies on the other side the poor minorities with the Democrats taking advantage of them. What is the difference with a poor racist white and a poor racist black? They are the same , but open racism towards white people is currently actually acceptable. Even in some cases when the mayor is black , the police chief is black and officers involved in an incident are black it's still the white man in control apparently. Think about that. Best of luck to your nation but you need to bridge the gap in talking first and then look at disadvantaged communities regardless of racial make up as the same as most of the problems are the same. Inflaming each other can never produce long term results.

@phyrestorm999 I understand your electoral college system which is sort of like the Senate system of many countries ensuring that minorities (by state population) get a more significant voice. I think it is appropriate for a Senate but for your president I think every citizen should get an equal vote noting millions of citizens have no right to vote. If it's a really small territory no harm done and is relatively normal around the world however elimination of about 1% of citizens who reside in Puerto Rico is wrong. Another serious problem is states decide on electoral boundaries in a partisan manner and decide on eligibility criteria and voting procedures and rules. A true overhaul us required. Australian has a very different form of government with independent state and federal electoral commissions deciding electoral boundaries and enforcing the rules of the Federal or State jurisdiction ( in the case of a state election) and the problems I described don't exist here.
6
@joostdriesens3984 RINO is Republican in name only. It's about hunting members of his own party who he doesn't agree with. This isn't even against the opposite party.
6
I am not American but seems a bad system, getting rid of the electoral college would change nothing much actually without making voter eligibility uniform across the US . Every state can make their own criteria regarding felons or ex felons. Number of polling booths per potential voter needs to be written into law, the worst case I have heard of is one voting location for 700,000 people or something like that. The constitution regarding this doesn't need an oil change it needs the engine reconditioned. The oil change won't do anything much on it's own because the other problems will get worse.
6
President Joe's the man, a real man, of course not perfect but but one of the greatest USA presidents ever.
6
Wouldn't she be considered a moderate these days?
6
Actually rats as taste testers isn't a bad idea, I am guessing a rat would run away from KFC or McDonald's if it can smell other options because the food not healthy enough.
6
He does because he treats them with respect and listens. Trump was an autocrat who listened to no one and even worse he would offend anyone, actually offended allies as often if not more often than adversary. He certainly never offended Putin.
6
@peoplewatchingtoday7231 I know the majority of the population might not be like her but 20% of the population is large enough to say normal. One in 5 people give or take are like her. In some states it's possibly over 50% and the majority. I am not saying the majority are like her , in the end Trump didn't get re elected.
5
I hope things go ok with your daughter. It's completely abnormal for a person your daughters age to have any real interest or knowledge about politics other than who the president is (exception rare individuals who might find it interesting at that age , however they won't be name calling others if that's the case).
5
Good puns
5
The numbers are scary. 60,000 had died back then , now look at the numbers. Get vaccinated people.
5
@phyrestorm999 a clear majority stops any challenges and provides a sort of higher legitimacy to whoever might be president next year.

What about the millions of sheep following Comrade Tucker Carlson who just yesterday got them to believe that the US is funding a bioweapons lab. Even showed a clip of Zhao Lijiang , the propaganda mouthpiece of China running similar conspiracy theories. Now that Trump's gone they might have the phone numbers of Zhao Lijiang and Sergei Lavrov to make sure they are in complete alignment. It's funny countries banning CGTN and RT but still allowing Fox to operate.
4
They can't in areas where hospitals fill up and lots of evidence it's harming the healthcare workers mentally. I am in a country where the virus has been contained and my observation is in some countries including the US the medical staff are not being cared for or recognized as much as they should be.
4
The US is a strange country, basically the toughest vaccination requirements on the planet for entry into schools especially in Mississippi being the toughest of tough rules. Then Covid 19 comes along and Donald Trump politicizes it and supports antivaxxers who support himself undermining his only achievement on the covid 19 response making that fail too. The US was the fastest to make vaccines available and has ended up with the world's lowest vaccination rate for a wealthy country (Hong Kong being an exception and failed even worse getting aged people vaccinated however I expect they are correcting that now). Things could have been so different, US people aren't intrinsically different to say UK or Canadian people it's the government that's intrinsically different where almost one entire side of politics will watch hundreds of thousands die and support the conspiracy theories because they think it's politically advantageous. If Trump handled covid 19 better he would still be president. So that's your only consolation prize, a different president.
4
Gage King Trump mentioned several times that maybe he'll get a third term and if you haven't noticed he still hasn't conceded his defeat yet, the first US president not to do so, he claims to be the president in exile right now. You must be aware of that fact right.
4
I always wonder if Rupert Murdoch wasn't given US citizenship which he needed to create Fox News etc. in the US and he was still in Australia would things in the US and Australia be different. Murdoch does control a lot of media in Australia but only Sky News Australia is sort of equivalent to Fox and doesn't have quite the same following I think.
4
It's true and it's not, the combination of Trump and Fox "News" is a propaganda rival to the Communist Party of China and just like Wumaos, Trump Republicans only believe their trusted sources which only includes one MSM channel Fox News. Trump supporters and Wumaos are very similar in fact, they both hate Australia, they both believe the "facts they have researched" many of both groups are outright racial supremacists.
4
I wouldn't go that far but on the international stage he's far far better than Trump and has united countries rather than trying to divide and insult everyone. Biden is a true diplomat and listens to other world leaders. One recent meeting stands out, he called a virtual meeting of the Quad , leaders of Japan, India and Australia and himself. Pretty sure questions were asked of the Indian PMs position on Ukraine because of their abstention on the UN vote condemning Russia. Whatever was said in that meeting we don't know, if it was Trump assuming he didn't green light the Ukrainian invasion which he probably would have he would be bad mouthing Modi , that's how Trump is.
4
He's literally killing people internationally by cutting off USAID.

I am a bit of an alcoholic so for entertainment purposes only i wouldn't mind having a drink with Hegseth.

@jeffanderson7591 I agree Trump defected to the side of the virus after a 2 week soft lockdown he started pressuring states to reopen, from memory it was actually that quick because had to reopen by Easter at the latest. In Australia we held out against the virus for 2 months and all but one state succeeded in no more harsh lockdown, the remaining state that had a second lockdown harder than the first has now succeeded and only 17 cases of community transmission confined to 2 states in the last 7 days.
3
As an outsider I agree it's technically possible but unfortunately highly unlikely. If Democrats keep the House and Senate that would be great.
3
With LED actually that's fairly bright.
3
@BroadwayJosh Rupert Murdoch has been a proud American for 35 years and not an Australian citizen. He's all yours mate and we don't want him , our Murdoch owned Sky News Australia is bad enough, sometimes as bad as Fox News.
3
Almost all white racists prefer Trump and almost all black racists prefer Democrats. It doesn't say much at all actually, most people will not vote for one party or another based on this issue alone. There is clearly a number of white and black people that would prefer segregation in the US. So this might be your only issue but if you are totally against racism then you can't really support either party by your own standard. I am not American and thank goodness my country Australia although not perfect isn't that bad. Ask yourself why Hispanic people of any race including a white immigrant from Spain that just got off the plane or a black person from Africa might be able to access programs involving affirmative action in the USA. If you can answer my question with logic you have lost the plot, as your country has. I wish you the best of luck.

@davidpaz9389 Are you vaccinated?
