Which I can't say, as I was never good at history...

I have a request - a deep dive into welding of naval ships, especially how stress from heat buildup and warping prevention was dealt with would be of interest to me and I suspect others. It was a significant improvement over riveted ships, but I'm sure there were tricky aspects, especially with welding armor plates. Any thoughts from other commenters?
