MAGAmorons have infected sectors of Canada. It is a foreign movement and it's un-Canadian.
3
@ianmaidment2258 Now there's a whacko response.
3
@liljes34 Why? Tell us the results of your research. You have an answer, do you or do you just obstruct for the sake of being contrary? "baby"
3
@Stevethelightingguy UPS the Migs into Ukraine in kit form ... flat packs with a single hex key.
3
It's a whole lot better to do nothing, eh?
3
What a sick, broken place.
3
That old NDPer Bob Rae probably believes that Canada spends too much on defence and our aggression have bought all this about. If we all sing Kumbaya, think peaceful thoughts, the faeries will make it all go away. You know. Give peace a chance. No? Change of heart, Bob?
3
@valghyna7668 We could all live in peace if the viper's nest surrounding Putin depose/assassinate him. Sooner or later .... Sooner or later.
3
The more the Russians destroy, the more they'll have to pay in reparations after they are defeated.
3
Hunh?
3
... and? ...
3
@stevenaudet Great. Some sick, starving survivors might be able to exist on whatever packaged processed food that they are able to scrounge from the rubble for a few years until the Earth is warm enough again to grow some food. Maybe. Climate problem solved.
3
@p.j.882 Try selling your oil abroad when you've alienated everyone around you. I suppose that you can fly it out ... oh, wait a minute! There won't be any safe airspace! BTW, Calgary will run out of water by the end of the century and most of central Alberta will be a dusty desert i two generations or less when the alpine glaciers that supply you with ALL of your water are gone,, forever. There will be no help from Canada.
3
@NixonThr336ix You are confused and I'll bet that you're an American. err, Canada did not participate in the occupation of Iraq nor did we occupy any of it, ever. err, Anyway, under the newer version of the War Measures Act, they can take you away by any means because you are committing a crime just by blocking infrastructure (5 year prison sentence!) If you decide to trash Ottawa and injure some officers on your way to the Paddy wagon, any cred that you managed to build up is gone. Your trials will be entertainment.
3
The 21st Century UN is reduced to being a toothless dog that can only bark-bark-bark.
3
It never went away. It's just that the Canadian public is waking up and noticing again.
3
@jeroylenkins1745 We've done that before (Vietnam) and it is perfectly reasonable to do so. What doesn't work is turning people back because their paperwork is incomplete. Take them all for gawd sake and sort them out after they reach safety. You'd think? "Sorry. No boarding without your Service Canada number clearly visible."
3
What an irritating interviewer. She wants the whole truth NOW to a crisis that has appeared out of nowhere. Smooth "journalism", Scoop.
3
Why aren't they doubling our Defence budget instead so that we can achieve the promises that we made to NATO a few years back?
3
@Youtube music There you go. Proof that Canada didn't "invade" Afghanistan.
3
They are nasty, bitey things in spite of their soft, fluffy camouflage.
3
@jorannielsen4213 Th Germans were totally routed by it ... and not just second rate Silesians, etc. It was the Prussian Guard that was rolled up like a carpet at Vimy and if the Germans were somehow good at it, they forgot how to do it every time they engaged the Canadian Corps right up to 11/11/1918. Your General Staff was afraid of the Canadian Corps. They never lost a battle that was commanded by Canadians and the "Hundred Days" that pushed the German Army back to the German border in 1918 was led by Canadians and Australian divisions. If it was a "great German invention" they were half-assed and ineffective at it."Uber Alles" but totally defeated in battle.
3
@kalikalimai1 You mean the Hater Christians who aren't technically Christians but think that they are?
3
The Ukrainians are asking for our surplus LAV3s ASAP (It's a dire emergency)and she's doing a bait-and-switch and bragging about sending 37 BRAND NEW unarmed but armoured cars. They want light tanks and Anand is sending Brinks trucks .... just as soon as they get built! (Expect deliveries to begin well into 2023). How about answering the question honestly: "No, we have no plans to send them LAV3s" ... even thought the Canadian Ar,my is currently equipping with LAV 6s and by the way, both are made here in Canada, too,

I also liked Witness but especially The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming!
3
@jptrainor President Trump wanted/wants to be one.
3
Ouchwitz Summer Camp LLC Shur thang, Billy-Bob Yeahwhew! Mount'n Dew!
3
Bruce Sanders Yeah, Why didn't they build those BEFORE the Covid virus turned up? What kind of system is that? We obviously know more than they all did two years go. We must be geniuses.
3
@mattl4802 Canada, US and Japan ... That carrier is Japanese. Can you read, Lieutenant? PLA, right?
3
@StallionStudios1234 Bobble heads are active, all right.

You can't take over a city legally in Canada. What you are observing is Canadian tolerance as they wait for this nonsense to peter out on it's own. Patience and tolerance is not endless, however and some level of force is likely on its way.
2
Well, if the Russians didn't do it, who else? Ukraine? If Ukraine did it their reach has now become so impressive that they must be winning, if they can take out Russia's military leadership in Russia itself. Man, they've become good! ... or it could be a cigarette.
2
There is a huge mis-match between the very right wing that the Party faithful cling to and what the Canadian people will buy. O'Toole is trying to form a government and the Majority of Canadians aren't where that core Reform Party base resides. Unless he can keep a lid on the yahoos and move the Conservatives at least toward the political consensus center of Canada, they are doomed to become a regional rumop like the Bloc Quebecois... BARK, BARK, BARK but no teeth. There used to be a broader range of what made up Conservatism but Reform and Trumpism has driven that away.
2
The real failure is that the Canadian people don't give a shyte about their Armed Forces, won't cough up the taxes to fund them and have no interest in making defence matters an election issue. The Canadian people don't care and are unwilling to pay for their own defenses. Sure, the Americans do it for us when it is in their own interests, not in ours. Grown up countries defend themselves. Colonial children are defended by Dad.
2
@mikroma8377 Professional soldiers don't decide where they are going to serve in countries run by civilian governments. It was Chretien that sent our army into Afghanistan in response to NATO Article 5, not General Hillier.
2
@0x007A How would that initiate WWIII? The only way that might happen if Russia invades a NATO country around it. The thing is, Putin is crazy enough to do that. It's almost as if he's intentionally goading the West into taking more action in Ukraine so that he can unleash his "big plan" whatever the heck that is. We have responsibility to our allies to be ready of he decides to roll into Latvia. We aren't now.
2
That was already tried. We were to have up to twelve Trafalgar Class nuclear submarines for the Canadian Navy and the order was cancelled. It wasn't cut because of money. It was cut because the Americans would NOT allow the technology transfer to be made and they made it very clear that they consider the high Arctic waters to be an essential theatre for their operations and Canadian surveillance of our own waters was NOT welcome. If you want Canadian subs up there, you'll have to use a different technology. We were not allowed to have nukes.
2
@twocansams6335 The Trafalgar class that we were supposed to get would have been bought from the UK. There is American technology in those subs and it was blocked by the US. Sorry. The Royal Canadian Navy is forbidden to buy nuclear submarines from an ally. Maybe, the Chinese or Indians will sell us some.
2
What money to support Mother Britain? We don't pay them anything. We pay for the Queen's Representative the Governor General but if the Queen weren't there, we'd still be covering the cost of a Head of State. It's been a long, long time since Canada sent taxes to "Mother Britain" but you know that because you're a Sociologist.
2
@CorryGal There's a lot more than that setting us apart from Americans like humility, intelligence, empathy, self-awareness...
2
It looked like Tinkerbell flying through the Magic Kingdom, not two precision drones launched from 465 + kms away that flew through multilayered SAM defences. According to the Russians both of them were intercepted even though they detonated in the EXACT same place 14 minutes apart. How do you spell "bullshyte" in Cyrillic?
2
@ianparenteau7198 ...in the middle of the night!
2
@MyWayOrTakeTheHighway Who's doing that?
2
@MyWayOrTakeTheHighway Tell us.
2
Whatever. You will need the agreement of all of the Provinces to change the Constitution and eliminate the Monarchy . Good luck Cat herding ... It will never fly ... Hell will freeze over ...
2
Do they choose to remain part of the Commonwealth?
2
@luannecorlett4683 These current ones were acquired ... used ... during the government of Brian Mulroney and our illustrious government has allowed them to be thoroughly wrung out. They should have been replace a decade ago and any other decent NATO country would have done so.
2
"WEEEEEE PUNISH!!!" "WEEEEEE PUNISH!!!" Eventually, that attitude to the Western democracies is going to backfire on China.
2
Prime Minister "Almost Justin Time" is working "around the clock" six weeks after being warned by Canadian veterans that this was going to happen.
