  5.  @etiennedelaunois1737  there's always an assumption that anyone who looks after and supports their family without draining the state dry has somehow been given life on a plate. That's not the case for most people and certainly not for me. People choose to have children and should support and pay for them no matter what. I get nothing back from these kids but am expected to pay for them to get more than my own are given by the state. That's not a system I believe in. It's far from fair and far from universal.

  21. Not profitable is why we are taxed to pay for the services. Schools and hospitals don't turn a profit and cost the government money to run too but we accept it's for a national good. What people want is that money spent on rail fares goes into railways not profits and shareholder wealth.

  50. The issue is students / children having no interest in education, no aim, no goal, not believing in themselves, not caring about their future. That's down to both poor parenting and poor opportunities in their area. Just like video games don't make teenagers kill each other, it's not phones distracting education.
