Cannabis should be absolutely just as legal and easy to obtain anywhere as alcohol currently is. No exceptions. It's so easy: As legal and easy to obtain/use as alcohol currently is. Why hold relatively benign, often healing cannabis to any sort of irrational, stricter double standard than perfectly legal alcohol?

Legalize cannabis federally now. What's legal to possess and consume in over half of the populated areas of The United States should not make you a criminal in states still being governed by woefully ignorant prohibitionist politicians. Cannabis consumers in all states deserve and demand equal rights and protections under our laws that are currently afforded to the drinkers of far more harmful, dangerous and deadly, yet perfectly legal, widely accepted, endlessly advertised and even glorified as an All American pastime, alcohol. Plain and simple!

Legalization creates jobs, improves the economy and let's us as a nation focus the wasted resources currently used to criminalize citizens over cannabis towards things much more needed and useful.

The report discovered that Cannabis is 114 times less deadly than alcohol. Researchers were able to determine this by comparing the lethal doses with the amount of typical use. Through this approach, Cannabis had the lowest mortality risk to users out of all the drugs they studied. In fact—because the numbers were crossed with typical daily use—Cannabis is the only drug that tested as "low risk." -Complex .

@hitthedeck4115 There are literally an infinite number of public places where people can gather to drink alcohol and socialize together. Cannabis consumers deserve and demand equal rights and protections under our laws that are currently afforded to the drinkers of far more harmful, dangerous and deadly, yet perfectly legal, widely accepted, endlessly advertised and even glorified as an All American pastime, alcohol.

Tell us something prohibitionists: Why do you feel justified in endlessly wasting billions upon billions of our yearly federal tax dollars continuing to arrest, criminalize, incarcerate, and hand out life long permanent criminal records to otherwise hard-working, tax-paying, adult citizens for choosing to consume cannabis although it is far safer than perfectly legal, widely accepted alcohol?

"A solid majority of voters nationwide favor legalizing and regulating cannabis similar to the way alcohol and tobacco cigarettes are currently regulated. Most also dont believe it should be a crime for people to smoke cannabis in the privacy of their own homes" -Rasmussen Poll

You know, a little live and let live goes a real long way towards ensuring a very long, stress and anger free life. If somebody doesn't approve of cannabis, then by all means, that person shouldn't consume cannabis. Nobody is ever going to force anybody to consume cannabis that doesn't desire to. Plain and simple. Problem solved. Let's allow other hard-working, tax paying adults to make their own choices about cannabis.
10
The prohibition of cannabis has not decreased the supply nor the demand for cannabis at all. Not one single iota, and it never will. Just a huge and complete waste of our tax dollars to continue criminalizing citizens for choosing a natural, non-toxic, relatively benign plant proven to be much safer than alcohol.

Legalize cannabis federally now and treat cannabis just like we do alcohol nationwide!

"Americans favor making cannabis legal for adults, according to the findings of a CNN/ORC International survey released late Monday. The percentage is the highest ever reported by the survey, which has been tracking public opinion on the issue since 1973, and marks a 12 percentage point jump in support since the last time pollsters posed the question in 2012" -CNN Poll

@Srrock61 Most cannabis consumers understand that not everyone has the time, inclination nor living space to grow their own cannabis and many consumers would prefer the convenience of going to a legal store to purchase from a wide variety for instant accusation and use rather than growing their own . Home growing can never become legal without first legalizing possession and use . So why stall, delay and prevent the full federal legalization of possession and use under the guise of demanding the "perfect" legalization law? Also, once possession and use are federally legalized how on Earth can no home growing be seriously enforced for growing a then federally legal plant?

Fear of Cannabis Legalization Nationwide is unfounded. Not based on any science or fact whatsoever. So please prohibitionists, we beg you to give your scare tactics, "Conspiracy Theories" and "Doomsday Scenarios" over the inevitable Legalization of Cannabis Nationwide a rest. Nobody is buying them anymore these days. Okay?

Rational, reasonable people would logically prefer to pay tax on a legal product which they can conveniently acquire to use instantly at a store, rather than be criminalized, persecuted and prosecuted over the possession and use of relatively benign cannabis...

Let's legalize cannabis federally nationwide now

Nobody can provide a real reason to continue the "War on Cannabis" because there isn't one. The government has no business attempting to legislate morality by creating victim-less cannabis "crimes" because it simply doesn't work and has already cost the taxpayers a fortune.

You have been to EVERY single dispensary in the entire country? (lol *yawns*) Home growing can never become legal without first legalizing possession and use . So why stall, delay and prevent the full federal legalization of possession and use under the guise of demanding the "perfect" legalization law? This is a stall tactic being deployed by desperate prohibitionists who truly are against all cannabis use and who never really intended to grow any cannabis plants ever. Any form of legalization of the possession of cannabis (even without home grow) naturally, logically, and rationally absolutely sure beats the heck out of the continued complete prohibition of cannabis under which cannabis possession remains a serious crime. Wouldn't you agree with this? If not, can you please explain to all the readers here in great detail exactly why you feel that the continued prohibition of cannabis and criminalization of people who posses and use cannabis is somehow better for American citizens just because there is no home growing and heaven forbid, you have to pay tax when purchasing just like alcohol and every single other legal product that consumers purchase?
4
What we certainly don't need are anymore people who feel justified in appointing themselves to be self-deputized morality police. We are very capable of choosing for ourselves if we want to consume cannabis, a far less dangerous choice over alcohol, and we definitely don't need anyone dictating how we should live our own lives. We can't just lock up everyone who does things prohibitionists don't personally approve of.

To act like you don't support federal legalization of cannabis possession and use if there is no home growing included is rediculious, irrational and a deceptive prohibitionist stall tactic.

They want to continue the arresting, criminalizing and handing out life long permanent criminal records to millions upon millions of Americans but don't have a rational reason why, so they pretend that no home grow means its better to keep cannabis completely illegal and continue the criminalization of millions of American citizens! Don't be deceived by their tricks, they never had any intentions of growing nor using cannabis ever. All fake! They are so desperately trying to get us to be against our freedom and to be in favor of supporting more arrests and criminalization of our citizens!

The "War on Cannabis" has been a complete and utter failure. It is the largest component of the broader yet equally unsuccessful "War on Drugs" that has cost our country over two trillion dollars. Instead of The United States wasting Billions upon Billions more of our yearly tax dollars fighting a never ending "War on Cannabis", lets generate Billions of dollars, and improve the deficit instead. Especially now, due to Covid-19. It's a no brainer. The Prohibition of Cannabis has also ruined the lives of many of our loved ones. In numbers greater than any other nation, our loved ones are being sent to jail and are being given permanent criminal records. Especially, if they happen to be of the "wrong" skin color or they happen to be from the "wrong" neighborhood. Which ruin their chances of employment for the rest of their lives, and for what reason? Cannabis is much safer to consume than alcohol. Yet do we lock people up for choosing to drink? Let's end this hypocrisy now! The government should never attempt to legislate morality by creating victim-less cannabis "crimes" because it simply does not work and costs the taxpayers a fortune. Cannabis Legalization Nationwide is an inevitable reality that's approaching much sooner than prohibitionists think and there is nothing they can do to stop it! Legalize Nationwide Federally Now! Support Each and Every Cannabis Legalization Initiative!

Nonsense lies! Home growing was not "outlawed" at all in the proposed legislation, it just was not included in it, but home growing was not specifically even mentioned nor "outlawed" at all. If all prohibitionists get when they look into that nice, big and shiny crystal ball of theirs, while wondering about the future of cannabis legalization, is horror, doom, and despair, well then I suggest they return that thing as quickly as possible and reclaim the money they shelled out for it, since it's obviously defective.

States "rights" has become just a clever excuse, disguise and blanket authority being used for a very small minority of irrational prohibitionists to be able to criminalize everything that they personally don't morally approve of. Same with abortion, websites and even books that they don't morally approve of, and they have the nerve to call it states "rights". The only "right" states rights provide is the right of a very small minority to criminalize anything they don't morally approve of in their individual home states. It needs to end now! It's like having 50 different countries with different laws instead of a "United" States. States rights=Criminalization of the citizens by a very small lunatic fringe minority of irrational prohibitionists whom have self righteously appointed themselves as self deputized morality police over everyone else
