My aunt married a sweet man when they were both in their sixties, but her children were already grown and out of the house. He was a pretty good grandpa and everyone loved him. But he never had to put up with single mom drama. Sadly he died of covid.

  15. I live where there are a lot of asian immigrants, and other immigrants. My observation is that if their parents were recent immigrants then they usually have a lot of the same traditional values but once they are second generation, then they are totally Americanized.

  22. As an old comic book collector, just my two cents. Yes he should have been recast. But even if you wanted to go the route of a female Black Panther, as they did briefly and temporarily in the comics, it did not have to be an in-your-face anti-male thing. You see this is what Disney has done with all their stories in recent years, they didn't build up women by giving them interesting characters and plots, they built them up by tearing down all the male heroes. The other thing that upset me is turning Namor the Submariner into a ridiculous Aztec Hippy. He was always one of my favorite good/bad characters. I have given up on anything coming from Disney now, they can kiss my ass.

  31. Nothing wrong with being a virgin but why didn't you get married when you were in your early twenties ? why waste all your best years when you should have been starting a family? Also, one other thing, if a woman can last that long without sex, that tells me she might have a very very low sex drive, which would not be something I would want in a wife.

  37. Friends with benefits is the best you can hope for and you better protect yourself from baby traps. Unless you really want children in which case the best bet is to go into a marriage as though you know ahead of time she will divorce you at some point so you have that prenup and you have some assets hidden and put aside, various ways to do that.

  42. To answer your question, yes, they would, and they do. And many western men just stay in that country and never come back. Now all women do want a man who has some resources, they don't want a bum, but your idea that they will not genuinely fall in love with western men is just not true when you look at the many many happy long term relationships that have been in existence for a long time.
