  12. Tyus Robinson felt the same way. Especially for making excuses for its hideous rear bumper when other US cars have no problem following that standard and not having a growth in the rear.

  13. Looks fantastic with alloys. I would buy if it had HID/LED headlamps. I feel that's such an underrated safety feature. Especially in Midwest winter where there is 4 hours of sunlight a day at best

  16. $55k is insane! It's nice but not $55k nice. 20hp comes at a huge premium here. The exhaust sounds good but so does the standard GT. This is $9k too high of a price. At $55k I would scrap and save to get one of the last Shelby GT350 cars that is superior in everyway.

  20. If you need sidesteps on you midsize truck, it's not a mid size truck. No idea why these things are all lifted so high that they are impractical

  21. Complete aside, this tester's vehicles wheels are one of the ugliest designs I've seen. Just cheapen the whole look to this black vehicle. That said, this is easily the most compelling small cuv that anynmanufactuer has offered. Great power and decent interior room. This thing willmseel a lot. Just hopefully with different wheels. Beats the Cadillac XT4 thing and that still isn't even out for a year yet.

  22. Wow. Very well done review. Really enjoyed your breakdown. The exterior isn't attractive, which means it will sell very well. Just look at the hideous CRV. The interior is nice but the powertrain is uninspiring. The retension of the suspect reliability Jatco CVT has me looking elsewhere. The base engine just doesn't go with the higher pricetag trims

  26. Great review as always. Agree that the GT Line should have more power following the N Line idea at Hyundai. I personally really dislike the busy rear end styling. The the rest is an incredibly impressive package. Best in class overall

  27. Acura new TouchPad interface is infuriating. I hate how it keeps returning to center like its on a rope. No. This is not progress. I know Acura has worse fanboys than Tesla but the truth needs to come put. The TLX and RDX both are not that great. SHAWD is very overrated. Quattro is better for gripe, and the rwd based awd systems found in the BMW X3 and Mercedes GLC are more fun and engaging. I think for a fwd based "luxury" suv, it fairs well against the Lexus NX as it is simply ancient. Infiniti QX50 CVT is awful so by default the RDX shines

  31. I love minivans with a na V6. Shame Toyota killed that while rasing the price. Also the Supra rear fender bulge doesn't work on every vehicle, Toyota. It looks like a whale 🐋

  32. Fantastic review as always Mike. We missed your reviews and refreshingly honest take. The mediocre to slow engine and a crazy high price kill it for me. Cadillac mailed it in again and took there sweet time at that. Still can't get over a nearly $57k price tag for this thing. You could save $10k and get a way superior vehicle in the Acura RDX.

  37. Heavier than a larger, RWD based F Pace. Should tell you everything you need to know. Corner cutting everywhere but the asking price. That said, this whole segment is a bit lacking in quality. The XT4 and XC40 seem to be the cream of the crop until the Q3 gets here in 2020

  38. Great review! Fully agree that the Mazda CX30 is the better vehicle. The UX is bad as a Toyota let alone as a Lexus. Anemic powertains, No real awd option, poor dated tech, and zero utility. Nothing luxurious or desirable about this Toyota rebadge. Doesn't matter as Lexus buyers don't shop the competition or really know much of anything about vehicles. It will still sell well sadly encouraging lazy efforts like this.

  40. Can that interior is atrocious. That powershift transmission will surely need replacement in about 10k miles. So made Ford didn't do what VW did with the GTI and offer the Focus ST and Fiesta ST. I'm done with Ford. Get a Kia Forte GT

  41. This is no longer an attractive option. Styling is unattractive compared to the Mazda 6, Accord, Altima. That 2L turbo is such an under performer that the 1.6L T does nearly the same real world performance. Kia needs to redo this asap. For 32k I'd get the Kia Stinger GTS with its $10k off incentives

  42. T8 has horrid power hand off between the electric motor and petrol engine. The engine also sounds like life garbage. Then there is it's horrid understeer, front wheel spin, and pricetag. Manually adjustable dampeners are cool on a $8k Civic track car, not in a $70K "luxury" car. Cost cutting everywhere. Also restore are getting 5.2 sec to 60mph proving Volvo overstated how fast it was. See Car and Driver

  43. Shoddy build quality would have me avoiding this especially if pricing stays true to MSRP. The amount of rework Ford had done on this really worried me. Might be height related but those multiway adjustable seats always pinch the back of my spine near the cushion devide. The 10 speed shifter weird as well. Needed further programing. I'd go Genesis GV80 over this

  45. Ford has the worst interiors in the business. They have the ugliest plastics. Then there's that horrid fit and finish inside and huge panel gaps on the exterior. The curb weight of many SUVs. Pass
