  1. The funniest problem I heard with Tesla build quality was on the Smoking Tire Podcast where the car had 3 18 inch wheels and 1 19 inch wheel. I'm guessing there is another Tesla 3 out there then with 1 18 inch and 3 19 inch wheels. Yikes

  2. +Engineering Explained Jason this video solidifies why i love you so much. The 0-60 test was great. I was actually impressed with your time given the conditions. Loved seeing what happened when you took off in 2nd gear as that is my gear when driving in snow and figured it would work better. Most testers would have just said forget the 0-60 and called it a day. Not you. Not only did you discuss the gearing ratio but did multiple attempts with different tatics. Seems like a small thing but i appreciate it and is the reason I love you. Amazing video as always. Great job.

  6. Desu Gun​ Suburuwrx fan might be the worsr reviewer. No car knowledge. Couldnt break a bolt lose when he attempted to change his oil (there is only one bolt) He giggles like a school girl under acceleration weather its a prius or porsche. Oh did i mention no car or engineering knowledge. All you will get out of him is how great every car is and that he just got married. That sums up his reviews.

  9. Ford cost cutted there products to death. The only manual transmission Ford should use is the Tremec found in the GT350. Then automotive manufacturers say no one wants a manual transmission anymore when really, people just want a good manual transmission which seems to be impossible these days. Hackett is ruining Ford.

  10. Completely agree with your statement on price. They moved the price to the point where its not as impressive as when it was $76k and competed in that class of cars. For $150k and that dated ext/int combo, I just don't see it. Feel the same way about the pricing of the z as i owned a 350z gt new for 26k with the Rays 18/19 inch track wheels and brembos . Okay old man rant over.

  12. Great reviews as always. Didnt not realize the Evo had an 80% bias towards the front. Great info. Also really excited for thr Ford RS for if anything making the STI to update its drivetrain.

  14. Love this car. Great review. Really hope more sports cars cut weight like this although Mazda over engineered this car which is why i love them. They have a torque tube on the drivetrain and forged aluminum on all the suspension. Just amazing and deserves praise. Wish they would build a rwd sedan as i need a back seat.

  16. Love the look of the hatchback. My gf has the veloster turbo and im pretty impressed with it. I have had/have some fast cars and this car can do just fine. The dct really shifts fast.

  18. Engineering Explained​​ Exactly. Its by no mean a fast sports car but its quick and the versility of the hatch is priceless. Also the equipment at that price point is really a deal. People always point to the feista st over the veloster turbo but really they are not in the same categorey. Veloster turbo is larger, better appointed, and comes in a dct which is why my gf bought it as she cannot drive stick (trying to teach her). I think it is just the right blend of sportiness, creature comfort, and versitility (the hatchback). However the rear suspension on these needs to be upgraded. Okay my rant is done hahaha

  22. +kkthxk Also to add the price of the R is higher than the STI. To me the real challenge to the STI is the Ford RS. im so happy Ford did that as the competition will force Subbie to update the engine finally and bring back the hatch. Looking forward to these new cars.

  23. kkthxk Agreed and as you pointed out the Seat is actually where it is at. Even on the 5th gear shootout it beat the heavier golf r. The Golf R and thier electronic diffs kill it for me. Im shocked they finally let you defeat stability control as that was a problem in the prior years. That is also why i have so much respect for the STI because it has always been a drivers car first with its manual only transmission. Ford seems to be following that but i am a little worried on the electronics on the RS as it will make anyone drive like a hero.

  31. 07wrxtr1 oh agree. they also just lowered prices on the z to bring it more inline to what it should be. Great car that I wish had a back seat. I do miss my 2 350z I had but I needed a back seat. great cars otherwise.

  33. This is a civic for someone who doesnt want to say they own a civic but a "luxury" car. If the Civic SI came with leather it would be the superior car between these two imho. Acura needs to figure out if they want to be more integra or rlx. Currently it looks like they are RLX. Meaning no soul and not class competitive. Presenting solutions for things no one had a problem with. If they can put an electric motor in it they will. I am just bitter because i really thought Acura might figure it out and bring an integra like offering but instead a turd that is silent and not deadly.

  34. Matthew Sharpe I really dont understand why acura exist at this point. As you said overseas these sell as Hondas which would make sense. Acura offers nothing really unique as the ilx is still FWD as opposed to RWD and has a marginally revamped interior. I actually think the 1.5l turbo civic coming out is alot better than the ILX. Then again it is just my opinion. I just think Acura could be a great thing if it wasnt just regurgetated Hondas. Make a rwd platform for Acura and i will actually take notice. Even Buick offers awd on the boat Regal.

  44. Toyota4Life well atleast now i know you are sane. But in all seriousness the ISF V8 is amazing and i love that they are still NA. That said the car is the heaviest in the class and the ATS V beats it in every performance metric. I like Lexus interior and quality much more. But performace wise its not up to snuff. Also the GS F is actually almost the same weight as the ISF which should tell you the car is a pig as the CTS V is lighter than the GSF

Agree completely on vehicle bloat in general. wish everyone could take a note on the new miata and actually lose weight. I mean subaru could also actually listen to people and give the brz more torque. I like warrantys and dont want to mod a car to be what it should be from the factory as you mentioned as well.
