"I wanted to simplify it" SO IT WOULD WORK WHEN I AM PHYSICALLY EXHAUSTED, HUNGRY, SLEEPY, WET, COLD, TIRED and getting shot at Good work man. Seriously. A+

25
"Where's Waldo?" the fall out a window edition!

USN went this close to using the village people and DID cooperate with them on IN THE NAVY and wanted to openly recruiting gay people around 78-79 Then AIDs hit. Reagan too. So ultimately I wound up in the french foreign legion. It's useful to remember just how unpopular the Vietnam war became and also that until Vietnam the army could always draft people for the shit jobs. Going to an all volunteer force made the army even better.

Yes, the heavily wounded are left to die. No person, no problem. Nothing to explain back home "he's missing". This is how Russia fights all wars. I speak Russian fluently, lived there, this is normal. They are dead.
18
i always think of that as "dumbass civilian detecter " why would i want to bother my first sergeant like i need more problems?!? but i really wanted to do more by nine than most people do all day and was clearl willing to get on good terms with 04:00 to do so.
15
Tanks? Death trap. Humvees? Death trap. Helicopters? Death trap. Bradleys? Death trap. Cyber Truck? LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT ITS GPS CAPABILITES!
13
yeah... lots of a/c accidents in Russia recently and I'm sure they're mostly fatigue and not sabotage MOSTLY )
12
These wounded can be recuperated and then sent back into combat. That's why they are getting evacuated. The others aren't worth bothering with. This is exactly how Russia fights war.
12
I suspect they used combat divers to place explosive charges at weak points under water where there is greater water pressure and fracturing the structure would be likelier to collapse the dam. I expect such damage would not be visible by satellite. Their destruction of this dam served lots of tactical goals. I doubt very much it's an accident, though how exactly Russia destroyed it is a good question. I suggest further research.
12
Oddly enough, those "Ukrainian" soldiers ... are speaking Russian.
11
@_John_P You want the enemy to surrender, you accept surrenders, because an enemy which knows surrender is death will fight to the death, but when the enemy knows YA HOCHU ZHIT is real they surrender and you win quicker with fewer dead Ukrainians!
11
Basically the USMC got caught loading SAW with crayons some e4 acquired a bunch of spare links and got creative
11
Law of war: no one can do this on any side (international law) Rules of Engagement: Our side does not do this. (U.S. law aka article 13 enforces it) RoE is a lot tighter than LoW.
10
@Lilitha11 good propaganda happens to you all the time. you even enjoy it.
10
try not to unintentionally give SVR/GRU/FSB pro-tips on how to up their game. Yeah, lots of them are dead and most are pre-occupied in Ukraine but China is fully free to read your points and turn them against you.
10
Congratulations!
8
china does and will profit from both sides but will very likely do nothing to help either militarily.
8
Could be drunk / bored / untrained artillery crew or worn out barrel or a deliberate attack on "their own". No one will ever know.
8
I still think M60s to Ukraine is a good idea but looking forward to understanding why I am wrong.
8
it is at first, but after a while the screams and moans stop and then its' no problem at all ) they're at fault for getting wounded
7
I'm still pushing for M60a3 / Magachs from Turkiye and Israel or the USMC to somehow make their way to Ukraine, Turkish Altay tank , their replacement for M60a3 (sourced largely from South Korea) is now in production.
7
even though i know russian training techniques (french too) fluent russian I'm sorry to say I'm not telling you. I want them to stay bad and keep making all the mistakes. Legio Patria Nostra.
7
Spoiler alert GOOD MORNING FIRST SERGEANT it worked. i enlisted a year or two later.
7
@yashashgc3488 possibly because it is too expensive compared to less high quality vehicles or because Britain doesn't wish to arm potential opponents. USSR/Russia tend to export only "monkey models" which are of lower quality, but easier to maintain, and keeps all its best kit at home.
6
Although humans can't run fast we're the world's best long distance runners. really. you must know that already. We can eventually run every other animal into the ground.
6
most other armies are dog and pony shows i guess we both know this used to be a problem in a certain army which shall remain nameless
6
Maybe go for a mobility kill with the chain gun aiming at the tracks and then reverse it to get down entirely behind the hill, dismount, and send in the infantry to get on either end of the hill (not where you just fired from) with antitank missiles to verify it's at least immobilized and then finish it off?
5
what. the 2lt is the most important person in the platoon! after all, he is the one person who can get us all killed by thinking he knows better!
5
@Norbrookc you missed that "jump out of a god damned airplane and run around with guns" part...
5
now you know why the Russian KIA rate is so high.
5
@michaelcrossley4716 upload and publish are different, maybe he somehow distributed earlier as unpublished e.g. on his substack
5
@RyanMcBethProgramming that's interesting. During the cold war (I'm old lol) we ONLY trained with M-16s. I wasn't in front line elite units. Trust me, Russia isn't gonna go nuclear. Right now is NOTHING like the 1980s... part of why we didn't properly restructure the ex USSR is we didn't expect to win suddenly, let alone without further bloodshed. We are going to completely dismantl the Russian military.
5
"edward snowden was ... edward snowden was ... uh" the word you are looking for is "traitor".
5
This part isn't a rumor, but I can't confirm or deny it (source: UK): Russia now only has 6 operational AWACs. Wonderful if true and you think I'm gonna risk one combat effective's life to satisfy idle curiosity?
5
missed a spot: and I am far from home
5
How would you clean foam off the runway? oh you kind kind soul. this is Russia! Why bother?
5
i don't expect my platoon sergeant to be a genius but i know he doesn't have his head permanently secured in his fourth point of contact the junior officer corps is a box of choco lates
5
yeah, it's like listening to squealing rats dying painful, yet subtly rewarding.
5
Joke time! How did Ukraine get surplus M60a3 tanks? They fell off the back of a truck! A POLISH TRUCK.
5
We ought not assume the Russian's tanks in Ukraine are the "monkey models" for export. I would not gamble my life on 30mm against even the side hull armor of T72, we cannot assume Ukrainians will have DU rounds, or even tungsten core, or use the proper ammunition even if it were available. I do recommend issuing DU rounds to Ukraine for Bradley.
5
Latin languages are all VERY similar and even in some cases mutually intelligible. Although tranche is french it's entirely likely there's an Italian cognate (=related word). Trench is an English cognate to Tranche, but tranche in French is also used for rows of a table. In English for this reason it found its way into allocation reports "In the first tranche of aid to Ukraine, the U.S. issued $500 million of humanitarian aid" is an example sentence of this word in English. Now give me all your ciphertext I want to get Cracking.
5
@jakeaurod Russians may be watching, Chinese certainly are.
5
Force used must be proportional to that needed to extinguish the threat. Wounded enemy are generally not a threat. So you can't kill them. Surrendering soldiers get killed all the time. But even if it's legal to kill them under LoW it is illegal under RoE because we want them and their buddies to surrender. LoW/RoE is about maintaining order and discipline among our own and helping the enemy lose faster. It's not mercy or unicorns. It's very practical. If we kill them surrendering they fight harder. So we try to take all surrenders as RoE regardless of LoW where it is likely also illegal.
4
@MongooseTacticool yeah its funny watching all the chickens panic news flash: current tensions are lower than during the cuban missile crisis, able archer, a few nuclear submarine sinkings ("we swear it was an accident") and a couple proxy wars. i'm entirely unworried.
4
@nandesu I see English is your second language. Here, let me help you. You obviously meant "Of course they are speaking Russian. They are stealing things!"
4
he uploaded it six minutes ago
4
@Adventuregirl96 in fact you are looking at a bunch of war criminals waiting to reload and do more crime.
