I don't know if Wagner is recruiting from prisons but that maybe isnt so important lots of prisoners are getting a chance to volunteer for the role of cannon fodder.

I guess you saw the USA is seriously considering sending Strykers as Canada already sent some? (There are lots of Ukrainian-Canadians, mostly in Manitoba). Article in Politico.
4
I guess you saw some IRR got activated. fwiw I speak fluent chinese and russian, but am ollld as in too old. What should I do?
4
I can't believe you and Maj Moran haven't done a collaboration yet, he's a USAR Maj i don't think he's guard, anyway he does lots of videos about tanks and is popular and knows the material he talks about. He's here as "the chieftan"
4
its just like Chechnya these are intended to be used on buildings at high elevations. they are infantry support. david axe reported on it. its not anti air and yeah it has no survivability. they ran out of bmps.
4
its a field modification. see also: hillbillly armor

likeliest: western tank company + 2 western IFV companies per battalion. one western + two soviet battallions per regiment/brigade so 14 Challenger 30 IFV + 30 T64/T72/T80 + 30 BMP +30 BTR
4
they really are saying "svoi! svoi!" which means "yours" as in "we're on the same side" They are coming from an unexpected direction, "somehow gets around the rear" by wearing their uniform. perfidy. a war crime. there will be vengeance.
3
um if the Air Force really really doesn't want the A-10 and erm um the Army doesn't um have the budget to take over the A-10 could um you sell them for scrap to this friend of mine in cough cough Poland? please?

I though claymore explodes on 1 click but we train to click it 3 times becuse in combat we are tired sleepy cold wet dark basically I thought 3 clicks were to make sure it detonates. I thought the cliicker is a switch not a generator
3
he is clearly a knight commander of the beer we must listen attentively

in the USAR all we did was pudgel sticks in the french foreign legion people who already know how to fight learn to fight even better and i don't mean with guns a lot of what we do is roll through the village we're protecting; we did maybe 1/4 hand to hand 1/2 bullpup FAMAS I just cant call it a rifle. also we train to engage at or less than 200m not the 300-350 typical in US infantry. Lots of 50m drills.
3
SKEEDKA is how the RUssian word for Discount is pronounced Russian C always says S and Russian K is like English all those backwards Ns are really I . Ukrainian has lower case i as a letter. Russian does not.
3
@danc6882 yeah, and not even a minute later some other Russian in the trench is tossing a grenade, and no one is trying to surrender. even if it was a flag instead of debris its perfidy. phuckem.
3
yeah... people who's job starts at 04:00 are already woke...
3
probably not first

google translate for Russian=>English is fairly good; if the source text is good; this is partly because the first efforts at machine translation were the NSA and CIA trying to read Russian SIGINT. Laws in Russia (and Belarus) are more like suggestions, enforceable at will of the state. You can break the law all the time, especially if you are well connected! BUT if the state decides to crack down on YOU other laws like due process, a fair public trial, are ALSO more or less ... suggestions. It's a system of corruption as governance. If everyone is a criminal anyone can be jailed. Totalitarian dictatorship by other means. I'm still assessing Chinese legality but suffice it to say the Chinese are not a bunch of drunk incompetent criminals more interested in scamming and thieving than in working with a Murderer In Chief for president. Culture matters.

@typxxilps Berets for infantry in Heer is a postwar thing. Though the Panzerwaffe indeed used berets during WWII they were actually somewhat larger than a beret and were indeed black.
3
WE DO MORE BY NINE A.M. THAN MOST PEOPLE DO ALL DAY because we got up at 0 dark hundred or didn't sleep.
3
It was referred to as the Ukraine since at least WWI when it was still part of Russia basically means "rimland".
3
Apparently dalmatians don't fear fire. I've never fact checked it but that's their reputation.
3
ex mil RELUCTANT gun enthusiast these are killing machines, horrible, tragic, at times necessary. I can't comprehend irresponsible civilians attitudes about gunplay. some cop can tell us what we ought to do? Please?
3
Rangers are elite airborne infantry optimized for deep penetration and independant actions. Basically they are the only airborne unit designed intended and optimized to be able to do what often happens to airborne units: which is to fight on with no hope of relief or resupply. Unlike Special Forces they are not however designed as leadership cadres to train up friendly indigenous civilians into a military force. They can do that but it isn't their primary mission. This is why SoF has lots of (crypto)linguists whereas rangers usually don't.
3
yeah and it was the worst rebranding ever free black beret with every unipolar moment
3
M60a3 is likelier because Abrams uses a jet turbine and you can't just train up repair crew for it. In contrast the M60 is lower technology but still better than anything russia is fielding and surplus in Israel USMC currently operated by Turkiye (phasing them out!) and Taiwan (wants to replace them with Abrams...) Xope springs eternal!

fwiw diplomats, especially low level ones, sometimes get killed in the line of duty. usually its due to them being clueless. this is one of the reasons ex military get a hiring preference at state. state hates when that happens, but you have these rich highly intelligent politically connected kids who led sheltered lives, think they know better and am fairly sure that's more or less what happened to the late U.S. amb. to Libya, though I haven't read up on that particular case because they always always make me want to scream. srsly if i had my way i would make military service a requirement for all state dept employees. oh well.

8:58 picture of an american cope cage with the russian letter Ya (which means "I" and it looks exactly like R in a mirror toys r us style ( toys r us had Russian Jewish investors or owners) the level of OPFOR trolling is deep on this one!
2
The idea is: since the USA is about to get a new infantry fighting vehicle it can give the bradleys to a major non NATO ally. See what I did there? A Major Non-Nato Ally. Deep strike operations are about to intensify. This ends with Putin dead or in the docket for war crimes. It is most likely the Russian federation will end up splintered into its constituent republics. None of this is happy news but all of it is Necessary.
2
@tearstoneactual9773 the toughest thing i ever did, the thing i'm most proud of. and non, je ne regrette rien. ni le bien, ni le mal. je regrette rien.
2
@tearstoneactual9773 you WILL learn languages there!
2
@wolfgangemmerich7552 maybe? I honestly don't know who they are but I know they are not Ukrainian and that Russia loves to lie. They think it's clever to do that :/
2
@Lasenggo thanks
2
at 7:55 to 8:00 of part 1 it looks like the russians are waving a white flag.
2
@danc6882 drone operator might or might not have told tank; the now dead russians in any case thereafter threw a grenade.
2
they fire three practice rounds, which would be enough to zero their weapons but they don't even zero their weapons.
2
A State Department-backed program using open source data and satellite imagery to document potential Russian war crimes in Ukraine is continuing to add partners to the technology-driven effort, while the agency is considering how such an approach could be applied more broadly in the future. The Conflict Observatory is intended to serve as a “central hub to capture, analyze, and make widely available evidence of Russia-perpetrated war crimes and other atrocities in Ukraine,” according to the organization’s website.

@Klote3241 I can repeat myself, or just ask you to reread exactly what I said. 9-3=6.

2
if you think there's any way in hell i would let anyone else touch let alone wear my kepi blanc, Non. I would literally kill or die for that. I had no idea about the U.S. beret controversy.
2
French subs were good but coastal not global let's hope Taiwan gets them.
2
slap a bandage on it is about it. definitely not trained in suturing, transfusions, maybe can torniquet, oh, but you don't pay any attention to the wounded until after combat. hopefully by then they are no longer a Problem...
2
@WanderingDad because dogs cannot sweat we can in fact outrun them. even in cold climates. they are however much faster. we are not fast, but we have the world's best endurance. after a few days your dogs are exhausted, after a few weeks your humans still are good for running till lunch, eating, running more, and then eating and sleeping. we're capable of this indefinitely, though doing so with hundreds of pounds of gear means we must quickmarch rather than run.
2
@StaticImage yeah i speak a lot of languages and use unusual but logical structures in consequence.
2
CCP wants cheap grain AND cheap oil! As long as this stupid war goes on China gets cheap oil. cheap grain too! Cheap Russian oil, cheap Ukrainian grain. So... they aren't going to intervene.
2
OPFOR does potemkin training because OPFORS leadership is thoroughly corrupt and OPFOR's leadership is all top down no trust do exactly what you're told and only what you're told and that's without breaking one bit of information about their exact training. Also OPFOR can will does send in soldiers with NO TRAINING whatsoever. Russia is dying in Donbas and doesn't even know it because who wants to tell the boss bad news let alone the folks back home p.s. mobile crematoria. they're not just for ** anymore!
2
