Others will not even be as strong as a division. This isn't merely war time chaos or bad soviet central planning. It is also and more importantly effective Soviet deception operations.

  2. Not only was this NOT a crime under international law in 1945 it would probably have been a crime to keep the citizens of another country (not to mention where would you keep them?) It would certainly be a wrong, a violation of state responsibility in other words would be illegal (not all which is illegal is also criminal). I really get tired of hearing people with NO legal training whatsoever making grand claims about law.

Their only chance was to declare themselves stateless, even then and especially back in 1946 there is just about no chance for them. I kinda dislike it when people with no training in law make statements about what is or is not lawful because LIKE HERE they often get it Wrong. Just because I don't like it does not mean it's illegal.

Khalkhyn Gol decided the war since the Japanese knew they could not defeat Russia even in Kamchatka let alone Siberia. So Japan did not invade Russia instead attacking America.

The war wasn't That long ago and much was recorded. I would definitely start with his units histories and then look at any family or church records you or yours might have.

  21. usually the organic theory of the state see that as a mere metaphor and not a biological fact. sometimes they do take that line, but there are usually enough scientists around to point out the flaws with taking the organic theory of the state literally. if a collective had a consciousness how would we know? how do individual cells in your body know you are conscious?

TIK the exact reason Hitler built up the S.S. transforming it from a political security detail to a military formation, a parellel army is Because the Wehrmacht was NOT all kinds of okay with the genocide or massacres which the S.S. went on to commit. The distinction matters; sure the Wehrmacht committed war crimes. So did the Red Army. So did the U.S. and U.K. armies for that matter. But it was the S.S., and only the S.S. which was purpose built from the ground up as an army for the commission of genocide both in occupation (the Einsatzgruppen) as well as in combat (the Waffen S.S.). Wehrmacht units regularly refused to carry out the Komissar order including orders from the high command. Hitler's response was diabolically clever: keep the army moving forward and Then follow up with the Einsatzgruppen to "finish the job". btw by 1942 there were no jews left in occupied eastern europe. But that's another issue for another time. The Soviets are less trustworthy sources than the ex nazis and ex Wehrmacht because of the cold war. The nazis were defeated and their only hope was cooperation. The Soviets were undefeated and so had every interest in secrecy and lies, dezinformatsiya, perhaps you hav heard of it? This doesn't mean we should be uncritical of the Wehrmacht's survivors. But we have to understand their histories in political contexts. German, even ex nazis history though perhaps less reliable than UK or even US histories is much more reliable than pre-1990 soviet hystery rhymes with mystery for a reason. By now you surely have read about Maskirovka, Tainost, Dezinformatsiya, Kompromat, Aktiivne Meropriyatiye, RIGHT? Leninism took Sun Tzu's advice that all war is deception to heart and executed that idea with thorough rigor and this fact is reflected in Russian military and political doctrine to this very day. (See: "special warfare", See also, little green men...). We have good cause to be more sceptical of the Soviets account than of the defeated Germans.

  35. I skimmed it; Gehlen's translators did a good job, it's well written but FHO doesn't have much of interest to the cold war. Definitely worth a read. I preferred "the service" ('im dienst') though i've since read that book gives Gehlen more credit than is his due.

For Marx it's capitalist over-production and exploitation (=underpayment) which leads to the inevitable crash. For Austrians its the inevitably inflationary fiat currency. Just like liars advise others to "buy the dip" so also the gold bugs (some believe the Austrian school others parrot it, what if some of them are lying too) those Austrian gold bugs are always wanting to get gold. Gold's a good store of value at least until we discover gold in Antarctica or the moon or even just some convenient asteroid. That's the problem with specie currency: the monetary supply is still not finite and fixed.

Schacht ended up in a concentration camp. I believe it omitted that small fact. 3. Schacht did not seek autarky, he sought instead to foster trade with states which would be pro-nazi or at least not anti-nazi in order to generate the foreign exchange he needed. 4. Video doesn't describe or explain the role MEFO and OeFA bills played in the run up to the war 5. The discussion of the havara agreement is nigh absent, and simplistic 20 minutes of "Schacht wasn't really a nazi, sort of" might make sense for someone less important but Schacht was instrumental in Hitler's exercise of power, and held a ministerial post up to 1943 This Video Sucked.
