Of course...you are absolutely right. I got into the merits of what he said about Modi without discussing the exact complaint that got him convicted. Thanks for pointing it out

You are making all the right points, Sir. My only question is how we differentiate between revdis and freebies. Our politics shouldn't define it.
3
Yes, that's an area I must concentrate on. Thank you so much
3
Haha...nice one... although I do think he can do better
3
Thank you

Andh-bhakt is self-deprecating. We at ThePrint know that whosoever watches us is nobody's bhakt. You are all very intelligent and discerning people, no matter whether you like our views or not. If you watch us regularly, you will realise we, as Khuswant Singh would say, have 'malice towards one and all' or none. We just want to bring facts to you.
3
Thank you
3
Agree, Sir. But what I was driving at was the fact that the BJP couldn't retain its majority.
3
He blamed all old guards- Azad being one of them, of course
3
Haha...not my job to advise any party, Sir. All I try to do is to bring you some interesting scenarios and leave them for you to judge
2
Tricky question...I have no answers as yet
2
Haha...must work on my glasses to get a younger look

Hi Soham, couldn't agree more. Sorry for the late reply. Did that episode of #PoliticallyCorrect and left for a Yoga retreat for vacation. Trying to stay away from my mobile as much as possible during this period. Thank you so much for writing.
2
Thank you. Politics will certainly change in a decade but I think the Congress isn't celebrating or showcasing its Dalit President as much as it should.
2
Thank you so much. Wishing a very Happy Dussehra to you and your family! π
2
Thank you

Wish I could! Just that I am still a bit hesitant. Was a newspaper reporter for over two decades. Trying out new things as a digital journalist. It will take me some time to adapt myself. I am still not very comfortable before a camera. Please give me some more time to settle in here.
2
well, just to make EPS understand that there are things beyond AIADMK and outside Tamil Nadu π
2
Thank you so much, Arpan. Trying to put in my best
2
Agree, absolutely
2
Noted. Do appreciate your feedback. Thank you

What a coincidence that I come back so late to read your old comment when I am reading AS Dulat's ""A Life in the Shadows"! He writes about his meeting with Lee Kuan Yew and quotes him: "If you are just realistic, you become pedestrian, plebeian, you will fail. Therefore, you must be able to soar above the reality and say, 'this is also possible'." Quite interesting
2
Frankly, I am still not clear. The Congress has lodged FIRs against BJP leaders. It wouldn't go that far unless it has something concrete in defence. But it's just my assessment. I would like to gather more information before I take a stand on this issue.
2
Thanks a lot for your feedback. I tend to agree with you. I am also being told it's not a walkover for the BJP.as one thought a few weeks back. West Bengal, I think, is tantalisingly poised, as of now. I am keeping my fingers crossed
2
Thank you

I am afraid I must be missing something about the pronunciation here. Will check tomorrow, for sure. Thank you
2
Fricative! Saurav, you really freaked me out! Had to consult a dictionary. My pronunciation is already so confusing and you are only making it more complicated for meπ Jokes apart, let me call up.my Assamese friends tomorrow to get my proninciation right. Thank you so.much for writing

In fact, old family loyalists tell you how they revered her and how they are now so disenchanted with her because of how she has let her 'putra moh' destroy the party
2
Did I really say that? Please excuse me but I am the last person who would predict results. And I must be damned if I did as you say.
2
I am afraid I can't agree with you, Sir. You and I know how governments are toppled. If they aren't scared of.facing the electorate mid-term, they will be worse. My personal belief- and I must emphasize on 'personal'- is that let the electorate judge you as often as we can. I as a citizen want a say all the time and would like to tell our politicians any time that I want them to go if I am not happy. I am a strong advocate of the right to recall. I don't want my MPs and MLAs to cock a snook at me for five years.

Thank you

Very insightful observation of the media, Karthik. We at ThePrint are a bit different though- that is, if you watch us closely.
2
Thank you

Good morning. Point well taken. In fact, we invite academics/analysts, not politicians (as far as possible), as guests exactly for the same reason- objectivity. Thank you so much for writing in.
2
Thank you
2
Yes, I would really like to do that sooner than later. Thank you so much
2
Thank you
2
Very nice questions, Sir. I am a bit stuck with my routine responsibilities. If you don't mind I would like to revert to you sooner than later
2
Thank you so much

Yes, thank you for understanding us and our journalism. I can't pretend to know about Maharashtra better than Manasi. She is based there and has covered it for two decades. The same holds true for many of my colleagues in other states. I can pretend to know more about their states but I know people like you will catch me instantly.
2
Yes, Darshil, I can just blame my oversight as an excuse but it may not work. Promise to do a Live show to discuss it after results.
2
Oversight... absolutely agree
2
Thank you. Please do point out whenever you feel I am going astray
2
Thank you so much
2
'Shamshan' is a bit too harsh but I do agree to your overall assessment. They have lost the stamina to fight.
2
Thanks for your feedback, Mr Deshmukh. On a lighter note, I could never understand the meaning of 'Khan Market type'. I can't afford to be one because everything is so expensive in that market. That's meant for the who's who of the capital like the Gandhis, Iranis and even Madhavs who are often spotted there. In fact, since my university days, I have been more of a Sarojini Nagar Market type.

Thank you
2
Thank you. I would love to do #PolitucallyCorrect show in Hindi. Let me discuss with my colleagues. Thanks a lot again.

Β @parthaghosh146Β No, he doesn't use a teleprompter. Don't have his knowledge and experience but I should certainly make an effort to structure my presentation better. Let me see if carrying notes can help me to achieve that. Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

Thank you, Saurabh
