  1.  @maxfunevolution3908  At least my family member doesn't work with patients, they work in administration, and also doesn't have contact with the ER. However all hospital staff relies on the ppl who do to be scrupulous in their hygiene and protection protocols. I have no doubt authorities are looking to keep numbers low however not acknowledging new cases won't help to curtail spread. If you arrive at a hospital they have to process you and a doctor has to see you. It's quite onerous to do two tests for confirmation so imagine the extra cost to the health system. I have no doubt those who don't get very ill but still have the virus will go out and potentially infect others. Health authorities should advise the public to stay home at the first sign of any cold like symptoms. Employers make that difficult however.

In Walkerton it cured a child when he was in a coma and his kidneys were shutting down due to his e-coli infection from the tainted water.. The doctors allowed a Chicago D.O. ( doctor of osteopathic medicine, an MD specialty) to add the oil to his intravenous line. He woke up that evening and was out of hospital, walking, 3 days later. I know the doctor.

  30. ​@sbowesuk My mother gave me her Ontario Health booklet provided to new mothers when I had my first child, published in 1959. Under the section for cradle cap and rashes it said if you're breast feeding, stop eating wheat until the infant is weaned as this is caused by eczema. Ironically, 2 of mine did have these issues but I hadn't read this booklet as I thought of it more as a keepsake but not useful. Turns out the medical information from 1959 was correct but today's practitioners are beholden to the pharmaceutical industry which funds the medical texts and many medical schools. It's probably why many universities still have vax mandates.. they get grant money from pharma.

  45.  @Thebohemiangirl1  If you actually come in contact with the virus it saturates the surface and works it's way in given that the surface is porous so you can breathe. Another aspect is it's difficult to wear too. It's not uncommon to want to pull it up a bit on the bottom to get better airflow thereby diminishing it's protection.

  49.  @maxfunevolution3908  Oh I know very well, I was working in Toronto during SARS and had contact with ppl who were supposed to be quarantined . Fortunately now I'm retired but my kids are vulnerable. A family member works at Sunnybrook where Canada's first case is. Right now there's 2,000 reported cases. That's quite a lot for this early in the progression of SARS 2.0. Its spreading faster.

  50.  @maxfunevolution3908  The reason the death numbers start out lower is due to the progression of the illness as it takes 3-4 weeks before a person becomes critical and then succumbs. So the current total of those who died got infected at least a month ago when the total number of those infected was also lower. As this sweeps through populations you'll see the numbers shift and towards the end the percentage dying will be a lot higher than they were early on.
