Go to reddit and have a look at the subreddits they frequent, some are racists, but the majority could not careless about skin color or religion, mostly they care about economics and nationalism. Both sides of the political spectrum is completely blind to the ideology of their opponents. They are for-instance convinced that the left is overpopulated by hardcore communists and the left are of the belief they are all uniformly fascists.
