  33. MAGA is a kind of mild fascism. But it’s preferable to all other systems of government save the capitalism this country was founded on. Remember — fascism is Italian, not German. It’s essentially muscular Keynesianism with a nationalistic backstory. National socialism, socialism, and communism are all exponentially worse. Like Hayek said, if I had to live under a totalitarian form of government, I would choose fascism run by Americans. I prefer freedom and capitalism, but you can’t defeat communism without adopting some of its institutional tenets.
