The reincarnation of the Toyota Matrix wagon. Surprised that the Cross isn't a hybrid only version.... but I'd definitely wait til next year to buy the Cross hybrid

Being forced into subscription services absolutely SUCKS. ๐คฌ

A CVT and a prop rod for the hood? Wow, the cost-cutting really shows, Acura. The CX5 Turbo is way faster and a better value
53
Hey Alex, great review. That Genesis has a gorgeous interior. Good job handling the crazy public atmosphere with people walking into & mindlessly through your shot! Kudos to your cameraman as well. As a corporate trainer who presents to large audiences from time to time, it can be absolutely nerve-wracking. Well done!
53
More sound deadening materials should be added to ALL Forester models, not just the hybrid Forester. And Alex, CONGRATS on breaking the MILLION subscribers mark ๐๐
51
I believe that the EV6 has a heat pump.... a big plus in cold winter weather climates.
33
Third row is a joke. ๐
33
Very handsome sedan. And I'd absolutely take a G90 over a Lexus LS based on styling and interior design. Those dashboard "wings" are giving me a 50s Chrysler "Forward Look" vibe. Virgil Exner must have been reincarnated and now working for Genesis. Excellent honest review as always, Alex. Happy New Year ๐พ โจ๏ธ

I actually like the metallic eggplant ๐ paint color ๐ฎ
30
This Buick looks like a potato ๐ฅ
29
Great real world video, and fortunately California has a lot of hydrogen fueling stations. Here in Phoenix, there are 3 public hydrogen fueling stations. The issue with the Nexo, isn't the vehicle. It's the lack of hydrogen fueling infrastructure in most of North America
26
Venue = Accent 5 door. I'd go for the much more interesting Kia Soul...
26
I'm waiting on an Ultium-based Bolt.....๐ฎ
25
Every crossover should have that FOLD FLAT FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. Hello, KIA??? Do this with the Soul! Thanks for the great upload, Alex!
24
Nicely done, Nick. The upgraded headlights should be standard on all trim levels in the United States... Kia, are you listening? ๐ฎ
23
Gorgeous interior. A proper gentleman's express ๐
22
Excellent work Alex. I think the XLT hybrid is the sweet spot for the Maverick buyer.
22
The Ascent looks more like a pregnant Forester.... ๐ Although I definitely prefer the plastic wood interior trim over awful piano black trim.
20
The AT4 and Denali should have a 2.0 L turbocharged four-cylinder for that price tag ๐ฎ
20
Luxury CUV should be quiet, smooth, and luxurious. Sportiness is NOT a major factor for this segment, IMO. Buyers are coming out of sedans for space and luxury in this segment.
20
The XT4 is definitely a compact in my mind. The owner of a local restaurant that's one of my haunts has a dark gray XT4. He loves that darn thing. He's had 3 XT4s in a row (business leases). It is a strikingly handsome SUV. So, I'd definitely prefer the XT4 over the competition ๐
20
This Jeep is a boulevard cruiser. I'd rather take a midrange Cadillac Lyriq with Supercruise
19
So many livery services drive Escalades, I'm surprised that the car doesnโt automatically ask "do you have a preferred route to the airport, sir??"
18
Absolutely beautiful interior. The GM accountants didn't get to ruin this interior
17
Are SAIC and GM still business partners in China? Could these "MG" EVs be sold as Chevrolets here in the US via that partnership??๐ฎ
17
I know its a Subaru, but my God im sick of the stupid gray plastic cladding. Sooo boring ๐ด
16
A Telluride or Palisade can be had at dealerships for several thousand dollars less. Kia/Hyundai has a much larger dealership network, and Mazda dealerships are often paired with other brands. My local Mazda dealership is paired with Ford, and the salespeople push buyers towards Ford products because its more profitable to them.
15
Excellent and thorough review as always Alex. I'd choose a Santa Fe Blue hybrid over this vehicle, simply for the wider interior and more "mature'" styling. Also gorgeous area that you live in with all of its micro-climate.
15
Play hardball with a Cadillac dealer and get an XT5 for the price of a mid level Envision.... and the XT5 is made in ๐บ๐ธ
15
Great review of a homely looking Subie, Nick. ๐ The Ascent desperately needs a complete redesign. Feels very old and outdated to me
14
Excellent overview of the Kona N, Alex. Definitely a "hot hatch" in my mind. Look out GTI!!
13
The rear reminds me of the Ford Sierra or Merkur XR4Ti. I love the interior
13
Needs the V6 ENGINE
12
Denali and AT4 REQUIRE The 2.0L turbocharged engine. 1.5L isnt going to cut it, especially with Denali buyers ๐ฎ
12
Have to admit, I'd go for a Mazda6 turbo over this 3 sedan. Just for more interior space and the timeless styling of the Mazda6.
11
The standard V6 powered Frontier is the value leader of the group.
11
Tesla Cybertruck just got its lunch eaten by Ford's Lightning ๐ฉ
11
The styling is overwrought. I definitely prefer the more mature and balanced GTI
10
Instead of a Bangle Butt, we now have the Bunny Front....
10
Mazda called. They want their Soul Red paint color back ๐
10
This powertrain is very high tech and complicated. I wouldn't trust Fiat, Chrysler, and Peugeot/Citroen to pull this off. Sounds like a potential clusterf to me
10
Manufacturers embargoes are MADDENING!!!
10
Infiniti has virtually zero brand cachet. I see them speeding and weaving through traffic on the interstate, doing an impersonation of "big Altima power" ๐
10
So many bots!! Love to see the automotive journalists having fun rock climbing and baja bashing in the desert. The giggles are tremendous. ๐
10
For $102k I'm buying an Escalade. Too much money ๐ฐ for a FCA product.
10
Recommend leasing and NOT buying. Lincoln resale values are deadly, especially compared to Lexus
9
37 MPG and sexy looks and a high quality interior? TAKE MY MONEY ๐ฐ ๐ค ๐ธ
9
Needs woodgrain siding.... and a turbo diesel โฝ
9
Volvo has just fully divested itself from the Polestar brand. It sold its shares to Geely of China ๐จ๐ณ. Geely now fully controls Polestar. Volvo will likely advise Geely on engineering issues, as an outside consultant. 15% of Polestar's workforce has been laid off. The EV price war with Tesla is absolutely brutal ๐ฏ
9
I'll take a nicely optioned Venza Limited for the superior resale and reliability
