Unfortunately, Volkswagen has stated it will no longer import the Golf into the US for 2020 due to sales, and federal certification for the new Mark VIII Golf that's just being introduced in Europe. The GTI and Golf R will apparently still be available in 2020. I'm not a fan of the big butt on the Mazda 3 hatchback, it looks VERY Alfa-Romeo-ish. I'm definitely a fan of the Soul GT Turbo.

  4. Cadillac is a very lost and confused brand. No one expects Cadillac to be chasing after the Germans.... chase after Lexus and Lincoln. Silence, luxurious interior, space, and sufficient power is what most American luxury buyers want

  18. DEAD BRAND ROLLING. The Infiniti brand is now NISSAN PLUS, Like Chevrolet versus Buick. Infiniti dealer network is going away... it'll be Nissan. A shame, the Q45 and G35 were good cars. I even liked the J30 back in the 90s.

  21. Is the GM 8-speed automatic in GM trucks still garbage? GM eight-speed automatic transmissions in certain GM trucks “slip, buck, kick, jerk, harshly engage, suffer abnormal internal wear, sudden acceleration, delay in downshifts, delayed acceleration, difficulty stopping the vehicle, and eventually require replacement of the transmission or its components.” These problems are allegedly traced back to an issue with an inadequately engineered torque converter that causes excess friction. I'll take a Nissan Frontier with the V6

  38. Very poor resale value, mainly due to CVT transmission durability issues. Highly recommend LEASING the Kicks, or looking at a Seltos or Soul with 10 year powertrain warranty. Kicks engine DOES sound like a loud course Cuisinart!!!

  41. Infiniti as a going business is the biggest factor. It's sales in 2021 (~88000 units) is less than half of Infiniti global sales in 2018. It could be a zombie brand... previous stand-alone Infiniti dealerships in Canada 🇨🇦 are combining with Nissan dealerships.

  42. Honestly Alex, Volkswagen has a terrible reputation after Dieselgate and class action lawsuits over rusty fuel lines and failed high-pressure diesel fuel pumps. The dry clutch DSG transmission was a durability nightmare too. Volkswagen dealership service is abysmal in most cases, especially with VWs poor to average overall reliability ratings. Resale value isn't the best. Lease ONLY is my recommendation for any VW, and return at the end of the lease. VW dumped it 84 month warranty program.... warranty claims were bleeding VWoA dry. Says ALOT about its vehicles

  45. The white pearl tri-coat paint is beautiful, but delamination is a problem with Buick paints. Needs a turbocharged 1.8L 4 cylinder and more sound deadening. Lots of tire roar at highway speeds and thrashy 3-cylinder engine noise under load. Not as quiet as buyers expect for a Buick. Well done as always, Alex! Very thorough.
