I'm cheap. I'd take the Corolla LE AWD over the pricey Prius. In fact, I'd prefer a Camry hybrid instead of the overpriced Prius.

Still timeless styling. High quality interior materials and assembly, and excellent crash test ratings. Definitely the CX5 -- In Soul Red.

$52k for a Dodge built and engineered by Alfa Romeo?? No thanks 😅😂

Very thorough review. For the money, I'd definitely buy the Trax. It's really a Cruze hatchback replacement. The Kona is really more of a Trailblazer competitor in my mind
34
The uni-brow look of the Sonata isn't appealing to me. The more aggressive styling of the Toyota looks good, especially in the ocean gem color. Hyundai doesn't have anywhere near the resale value or long-term reliability of the Camry, so I'm going Toyota.
31
Greatly appreciated the honest review. I'm thinking that the basic nature of the Frontier is more of what I am working for.... sufficient safety suite, capable off-road, and a bulletproof powertrain.
23
SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. BHAHAHAHA. 😂😂😂

George, great review. The CLA is fine at a $40k price point, but at $50k, my money is going to a Benz C-class sedan or an Audi.

Just came from 4 days renting a '19 Fusion Hybrid Titanium here in the desert. Very nice car, very un-hybrid like behavior, smooth, whisper quiet on Interstate 10, comfortable, and reasonably roomy. EXTRA fuel efficient, of course. The hybrid seems to be the way to go, at least until Ford jettisons the Fusion. And that Velocity blue paint is gorgeous. Keep rocking the beard, Perkins!! 😉 Good honest review 🐻

If I was forced to buy a crossover, this Mazda is the one that I would buy. Good review, Mike!
13
Mighty expensive Civic Si hatchback
12
For the price of this Mazda3, I'd move up to the Mazda6 for more rear seat room and more elegant styling
11
The Tesla Model S is my pick. Much better styling, and the phenomenal Tesla supercharger network.
9
I'll take a '25 Toyota Camry SE hybrid for that money and have vastly superior resale value and reliability.
9
Why? $82k of pickup truck? 😂😅
9
Jeep has no cache. The Escalade does.
9
Good to see you back, Perkins.😉 I'd stick with the 5.7 V8 myself.... the VM Motori ecodiesel (an oxymoron for certain) has had a long history of cam gears and timing chain failures, and the high pressure fuel pump is failure-prone too. I'll stick with the HEMI. Good, informative, comprehensive review and beautiful scenery.🐻🐨😝

For the money, I'm going XT5 for more space. Lease, never buy a luxury vehicle. Depreciation is steep.
8
Equinox goes fully electric in 2024. This is just a half hearted ICE update on a minimum budget. Perfect for fleet buyers
8
Bank of Toyota. Awesome resale and reliability. I take a Camry Hybrid for the fuel efficiency
7
Hate the damn CVT driving dynamics. Third row is only pre-teen kids sized.
7
Good review, George. I find that the 4Runner is refreshingly honest about itself. Toyota makes this vehicle for a global Market, one where infrastructure is weak. I'm happy that its character hasn't been diluted for US buyers. And it has awesome reliability and resale value. 🐻
7
The Teggy is a disappointment. It's not worth the premium over the Civic Si.
7
Makes a terrific ride-share vehicle for Lyft, Uber contractors... or for Zipcar. Nice real-world review, Mike.
6
That subpar Toyota has much better reliability and stellar resale value
6
Corolla Hybrid sedan please.... for less money.
6
Salt spattered car..... 😮
6
Seriously boring. As a former VW owner, I sure hope that reliability (especially electrics) has improved, along with dealership service quality....
6
The Prius screams UBER DRIVER to most people nowadays. It has serious image problems.... I'd buy a Insight --- or a Corolla Hybrid.
6
Poor editing. Same section of video on the GMC is there twice...... 🚨🚨🚨
6
It looks great in Cypress Green paint. The interior is boring as hell though 😮
6
Nice, but I'd buy a new CX5 for only a little more money
5
Cadillac Escalade please
5
Dear Gawd, that chrome maul is garish as hell!! No thanks
5
That rear fascia is ugly AF. Seriously boy racer-ish....
5
The sedan is more stylish than the hatchback.... the C pillar creates a gigantic blind spot. Blind spot warning ⚠️ is a requirement.
5
Bronco please.
5
Definitely an Aviator.
5
Gawd, that JATCO CVT transmission is so shady. Resale value on Nissan CVT vehicles is really poor
5
Buick Regal Sportback....
5
Ummmm, I'd rather have a loaded Pacifica.... or that Lexus LM minivan with the private jet looking interior. Informative and visually pleasing, Mr Perkins 😉
5
$63000 for this??? Seriously? Get a lease and claim as a business expense
5
The Bolt will soon be moved to the Ultium battery platform, with much greater range and more space. Also, given the unfortunate LG CHEM battery recall, it'll probably get a new name.
5
Interior looks cheap, not premium. Forte in LXS trim is the sweet spot in the Forte lineup, its a great value. The GT at $26k is too much money.
4
I just want a BASIC full sized truck. No crewcab, leather, touchscreen, or any of that bull. Just a basic 80/90 style truck. These cowboy Cadillac's are annoying.
4
Very dull. A Mazda6 is better looking and more reliable. A Toyota Avalon is more tech savvy and luxurious. VW obviously cheaped out on this Passat.... rear seat legroom is tremendous though.
4
David, Volkswagen has a terrible reliability record in the USA, and it's dealer network is known for delivering subpar service. Its image after Diesel Gate is even worse, which has really hurt resale values. Some people just will not drive a Volkswagen because of Diesel Gate.
4
For the asking price on this Buick, I'd definitely prefer the still handsome Mazda CX5 with its NA 191 horsepower engine 4 cylinder (and available turbo), standard AWD, and a torque converter automatic. There's nothing compelling about this Buick. And Buick should at least offer the Chinese market 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine thats optional on the Encore AND Envista in 🇨🇳
4
Chevrolet's highest selling vehicle outside of the Siverado in the 1Q2019. Mediocre, but very popular
4
$77,000 before taxes and tags. Honda has lost its grip on reality. 😂 Mazda CX90 please 😊
