Soooo overpriced, especially for Jeeps abysmal quality/reliability issues ๐
4
I'd go with a VW Sportwagon over the Kicks. The JATCO/Nissan CVT has very dubious reliability, and resale value on any CVT equipped Nissan has cratered. The public knows to avoid the possessed JATCO CVT. The Jeep Renegade 9-speed automatic has a similar horrendous reliability reputation. โ ๐ปโ ๐ปโ

I seriously doubt the durability of that 3 cylinder turbo hamster wheel. Speaking of hamsters, I'd prefer the Kia Soul in "S" trim level for the safety suite and alloys at a little lower price
4
That candy light blue color is soooooo overdone. The current "it" color
3
PRECISELY
3
I'll take a hybrid Santa Fe please
3
That blue paint is kinda horrendous. Really does Look like a big Tonka toy. Perkins, tho, always looks good. ๐ป
3
I wonder if the dual clutch automatic has resolved its quality and durability issues ๐ฎ
3
The venza is much more attractive ๐
3
Another honest, no BS review, Perkins! Always enjoy watching you. ๐ For 50 grand, I'd drive a Palisade and have WAY more interior space... and a couple grand left over.
3
Good presentation, Perkins!! Think I'd rather Bolt it. Just too many compromises with the Leaf.
3
The black wheels look horrendous on the ES
3
Good review but the styling... YAAAAAWWWWNNNN. ๐ด๐ด๐ด
3
The two-tone paint is hideous. The black roof is okay, but not the front fascia and hood. Toyota is trying to bring back two-tone paint schemes, but it's failing. The Crown is horrendous too.
3
Looks like a potato ๐ฅ
3
Rockin' that beard, Perkins!! ๐ป For the money, I'd veto the Ranger and go with the Tacoma... especially considering the much higher resale value of the Toyota. ๐๐๐
3
The bronze wheels are hideous ๐ฎ
3
For the money, I'll take a Loaded CX-5 in soul red, please ๐
3
Looking great in the Bimmer convertible, Perkins!! Good review. ๐ป๐
3
The dashboard is very Mercedes-ish. The exterior looks bland, especially in the refrigerator white color. George looks woofy with the beard, though. I'm just saying! ๐
3
VW dealership service is very spotty. Some dealers okay, most horrendously bad
2
Sales embargo has been lifted.
2
The huge infotainment screen doesn't bother me a bit. The affordable price with the security of AWD is much more important. Subie buyers will love it... of course, people buy Ascent and Outback much more.... because of the American herd buying mentality.
2
Good concise presentation. Presenter reminds me of a nerdy Mike Perkins!
2
Are the current JATCO/NISSAN CVT transmissions trash, like the past ones??
2
Hate that raccoon front fascia. Hyundai needs to make it body colored
2
Problems with the Jetta... right rear tail light failed (marker light, then stop light, then marker again), fuel filler door wouldn't open; broken spring. Check engine light on due to bad O2 sensor. Sunroof panel rattled. Dealer fixed. Then sunroof wouldn't open, motor wiring screwed up by dealer fixing rattle. Satellite radio died, flashed upgrade by dealer. Died again... 37,000 total miles. Adios, VW. Lease returned... with CEL light on. Throttle sensor went bad, per dealer. Dealer waived "lease disposal fee" on Jetta in effort to get me to lease a Tiguan... bhahaha! ๐
2
Yes, more aerodynamic
2
THE MKC WAS HANDSOME??? Ummm, no.
2
Hey Mike, good to see you back. I'm perplexed by the new Subie infotainment system. Huge screen, but a laggy processor? Seems like an update or patch is needed for the system. When something simple like a tuning toggle or a volume knob lags that severely.... something ain't right. Like the 2020 Outback overall, especially now that the Buick Regal wagon and the VW Golf wagons are dead. Thanks for the upload, sir! ๐ป๐ป
2
ย @MikeDPerkinsย hey, I liked wagons in the 80s.... we had a sky blue Ford Fairmont back then. Terrible in the snow, but great for doing doughnuts!
2
Horrendously bad resale value.... Corolla Cross, please. Better resale and broader dealer network.
2
Ugly Cadillac, handsome presenter ๐๐
2
Ill take a Ford Escape hybrid
2
Elliott, excellent review. I'd recommend a Kia Soul EX/+. A great city car, plenty of space.
2
Finally getting the Benz A-class in the USA. But at $50,000.... there's a lot of other options in larger, more capable vehicles. I'm thinking about the Genesis G70 and maybe even the new Caddy CT5. Of course, the "label whores" will want the three point star on the grill. Good review Mike. Back to clean shaven, I noticed. ๐๐๐ป
2
$50,000 Honda. I like it, but way too much ๐ฐ. Oh, and woof ๐
2
Jeep Renegade Trailhawk please,...... this thing isnt going to be offroad on anything other than a forest service rioad maybe
1
Id buy a Kona
1
Where's Mike Perkins???
1
Okay, like the color. Dislike the agricultural engine note. I'll take a Kia Soul S please.
1
Made in South Korea in an ex-Daewoo plant. Keep your expectations in check
1
The color is peacock ๐ฆ
1
Lease an Escalade and have the lease bill sent to headquarters for payment. Easy when you're a top level executive with a stock option plan.....
1
Great review. What a cool car!
1
I'll take the new generation of the Camry
1
Is Chris Wardlow no longer with Car Gurus? Seems like a lot of new presenters.
1
I'm not a fan of this reviewer. Not enough information on the ride, drive, and space.... too much information on marketing strategy and market placement.
1
Soooo outdated
1
At 6'3" and 235 lbs, the new 3 is tight, especially with the sunroof.... no panoramic roof available. I'd prefer a new Soul GT turbo for way more cargo space, headroom, and back seat legroom.
