  11. The idea that Rome invented Jesus, but then persecuted Christians afterward could be boiled down to the change in an Emperor or a dynasty. They could have decided, “nah, this is not what Rome needs” and it wasn’t until Constantine that this flipped back to being Rome’s religion. (Even Emperor to Emperor this changed, Antoninus Pius stopped persecution, only for the next emperor, Marcus Aurelius, to blame them for a plague and start the persecution up again.)

  30. While GTA Online pretty much confirms that Ending C is the cannon ending, Ending A and B are both pretty brutal. Either Franklin completely betrays Michael and ends up dropping him from a very high height (the game fakes you out by making it seem pressing a button will save him, it won’t), OR Franklin and Michael take down Trevor by setting him on fire (if you hesitate long enough Michael will ignite the fuel instead of Franklin.)

  31. Denethor was corrupted by a Palantir (seeing stone) just like Saruman… since Sauron secretly had his own. Except Sauron showed Denethor the fall of Gondor, the death of everyone he was supposed to protect, and other horrors. (The expanded edition shows Denethor’s Palantir briefly.) In the books after Denethor dies, his Palantir only showed a ghastly boney hand since held it as he died.
