  6. Lara Croft was sexy... despite having more oddball angles than a Cybertruck in her early games. More recent Lara is more realistic, which can also be sexy... because you’re more likely to find someone that actually looks like this in the outside world.

Johnny Cash covering Hurt first made Trent Reznor mad, because that song was very personal, but after hearing Cash’s version, Trent said, “It’s not my song anymore, it’s his.” Everybody Hurts was the first new song I heard on the radio right after my crush broke my heart (she actually was a really toxic person, I just did not recognize it at the time). The Living Years was a song I rediscovered right after I became an adoptive father, and I’m doing my best to remember the message.

  12. I think seeing “5… years later” in Endgame was pretty shocking. Then bringing everyone back, but time skipping them up 5 years was another shocking thing. I get that Tony Stark was worried his daughter might not exist if they changed history, but it messed up so many other people’s lives and families.

  20. The Sopranos was supposed to have an ending that was like the title sequence, but backwards, ending with Tony being whacked. But then the producer drove by that diner and thought it was the perfect spot to end the show, and rewrote everything around the family going there for dinner… so the writers were going to kill Tony at the end, so he’s definitely, probably dead.

I always though Natalie Portman’s character in Garden State was acting like a manic pixie dream girl because her life went from being great (she wanted to be a professional ice skater) to her being in constant fear of having a seizure. Plus her family was kind of weird. (Everyone in that movie was weird, funny Jim Cooper cameo though.)

  24. While not technically a lead character, we learned so much more about Chief Miles O'Brien on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine than we really ever did on Star Trek: the Next Generation. Also they did move Lt. Cmdr. Worf over to this show in later seasons which also helped to flesh out his character even more.

  37. Delorean made a HUGE mistake by not reading US regulations for cars. As a result the bumper height was way too low, so rather than a complete redesign DURING production, they simply jacked the cars up which ruined the handling. Plus they needed to put in a catalytic converter, which nerfed the V6. (Back to the Future had serious problems with the car since all the parts they put on it increased the weight and made the engine even worse, so for the sequels they figured out a Porsche Boxer engine barely fit into the engine bay, but definitely improved performance.

The Delorean was designed without researching US Highway rules… so they had to jack it up by almost 2 inches to meet the bumper height requirements, which ruined the handling, and the engine was designed for European emissions standards, so slapping the required catalytic converter on the exhaust choked out the engine power in the American version. Although you can lower the suspension with aftermarket parts, the engine really can’t be helped… until you learn that for Back to the Future II after how poorly the car did with the added weight of the props, they put in an Porsche Boxer engine… because it’s a perfect fit in the engine bay.

  50. Robin Williams on Inside the Actor’s studio is probably the best episode of that show. The improv moment where the borrows a shawl from an audience member and just takes off is amazing.
