So if a celebrity went out and somehow copyrighted their image/likeness, would that mean any paparazzi photos were in violation of copyright law?

Trump fought this tooth and nail while President, had the Trump Organization stonewall investigators, and took it all the way to the Supreme Court.

@Jackson Wilson many argue that the wheels of justice turn slowly.

@arrow1414 I'm sure there are laws regarding the preservation of the memory cards and paper ballots for a certain period of time and that hasn't expired yet.

Last time there was such a “blanket” pardon: Richard Milhouse Nixon.

Lawn darts, so dangerous they actually killed a child in April of 1987 (the sharp metal dart pierced her skull and caused massive brain trauma.)

I can only guess the missing charge of Murder 1 is because the confession was tossed out?

I don’t care who you vote for, how you vote, or that you vote for who I vote for. I do care that you actually vote. Too many elections we hear that x-number of eligible voters didn’t go out and vote. 2016 that number was ~100,000,000! (Combined vote total for Clinton and Trump was ~138,000,000, so if “Didn’t Bother to Vote” was on the ballot, it would have won the Presidency... in a LANDSLIDE!) Do yourself a favor, vote.

@doomse150 3 months for primary voting, but have 1 national primary voting day.

@saphironkindris we just watched the UK and France hold elections very quickly and effectively. Why can’t the “greatest country in the world” do that?!!!

Objection me if I’m wrong, but I believe the Stairway to Heaven case dealt with pre-1973 or 1974 copyright law where you could NOT copyright the actual recording of a song, only the published sheet music. That jury was not allowed to listen to either song, only compare the sheet music. Plus others found a slightly obscure 15th or 16th Century classical guitar piece with a similar descending arpeggio, though I doubt it was brought up in court.

Bars in NYC with permits to have live music had to have “No dancing” signs up unless they also had a separate (and expensive) Cabaret license. Of course most people just ignored the signs and danced anyway.

I’m a paralegal, knowing what the lawyers I work with had to deal with to get to the point to being able to just take the bar exam (not even getting into what they need to do to pass it)... I’m happy to be a paralegal.
