But I'm also understanding of the difference between a riot and an inserection.
The difference is the intention and outcome if the supposed "rioters" got their way.
Riots are 60-90 days in jail. Instigating a riot is not much more.
But trying to revoke an election result before any legal proceedings can take place, that is not the same intentions as being upset at police brutality no matter how different or extreme.
Just in principal alone, ones righteous indignation over their community is not the same as throwing a fit because the election didn't go your way.
And, when the Democrats said the election was rigged, they let the process take place, they didn't try to interfere or take back the results. They brought their concerns to court and allowed the proper dileberation to take place, and dispite the evidence they brought forward, they couldn't fina anything to keep the charges.
This time around, they aren't letting the investigation team do their job, they are trying to stand in the way of any and every court ruling that doesn't sit in their favor, and even went as far to try and sue Nevada, even after a recount showed nothing would have changed the outcome.
