  1. What does he mean that Putin has not been able to adapt to the situation (and negotiate) ? Why is it all of a sudden the Americans and Europeans are asking Russia to negotiate ? For 3 years, they did not want to speak to Russia.

Why did the west sabotage Istanbul agreement in 2021, a few months after the war started. It is the US that incited Ukraine to fight Russia, and seeing defeat, the US wants to withdraw. Let the US give land to Ukraine. And also the countries that went along with the US, like Poland, UK, France, Germany, NL, DK should give their land to Ukraine.

  5.  @leifiseland1218  It is not stuck in Ukraine, it has broken down most of Ukraine's NATO defences. Once Donbass is completed, it is open terrain to the Dnieper. That is why the US is asking for negotiations, freezing the conflict, peacekeepers etc. Russia is not having it - because it is winning.

  7. The victim is also guilty. When it got independence from Russia, it agreed to be a neutral state and not join any military alliance. But after the US sponsored coup of 2014, it changed its constitution and put joining NATO as an objective. It agreed to be a proxy to threaten Russia, and it agreed to fight a proxy war for the US. Ukraine is as guilty as the US, it is not an innocent victim. Ukraine has shown it does not have the capacity for self rule, it allowed itself to be sucked into the whirlpool of military alliances that create tensions.

There is no way Russia will give up on that aim when it is in a winning position, with the Ukrainian military crumbling and the US unable to send arms and money for as long as it takes. Once Russia breaks through the last fortifications in Pokrovsk, Chasov Yar, then they are in a position to advance to the Dnieper as there are no fortifications in that area. He says Putin is a weak leader of a weak country. These is the typical spiteful western badmouthing born out of the burning caused by defeat. Russia is not the one seeking negotiations - because it is winning. Putin had said in the Tucker Carlson interview 'why should we freeze the conflict just because you ran out of weapons ?', In other words, the west is begging for freezing the conflict so it can rearm Ukraine. As for Trump threatening to continue support for Ukraine if Russia does not agree to his peace terms (Ukraine in NATO in 10 years), the US does not have the money nor the arms. Putin will not accept any dictation from the US. Ukraine will sobre up when Ukraine is hit with Oreshnik missiles.

What is the point of saying after defeat that Ukraine would not be in this position if the western countries gave them shells, and delivered the military assistance on time ? It just means the west could not produce the shells to match Russia, and the collective west does not have the incredible arsenal that Russia has. How can the west give what it does not have ? As for the question about Ukraine feeling let down by its 'partners', it was very foolish in the first place for the Ukrainians to go and fight a proxy war for a far-off superpower against a neighbouring superpower. One's capacity to win depends on one's arsenal and logistics. If you have nothing in your own arsenal, and your 'partners' also do not have enough in their arsenal, and your logistics stretch across the Atlantic, then it should be obvious you are going to lose. Ukrainians were dumb to agree to fight a proxy war for the US, for getting accepted into the western club. This episode shows Ukrainians were not fit for self rule, it is best they are back under Russia. It was a mistake to make them independent. Indeed, Putin has won. Whether he goes after Baltics, Poland etc. depends on whether these countries misbehave with Russia and try to act like Ukraine.

Equally Trump might tell Ukraine, 'agree to the terms available from Russia, or we are out'. Ledwidge is correct - the west has no strategy, it had no strategy. Merely bleeding Russia using Ukrainians is not a strategy if you claim you are defending some great principle of freedom. I did not expect Ledwidge to change and become realistic. He says NATO is empty without the US. Correct - the command structure of NATO is American. He also admits that Russia will not tolerate NATO bases in Ukraine. But the media man continues saying Russia had no security concern, it was a fabrication to invade Ukraine. Ledwidge responds the Russia was always opposed to NATO forces on its borders.

  43. It is not Zelensky, it is US and UK who organised the attack on Russian airbase. Ukraine is not capable of doing it. The planes were parked in the open as required by the START treaty to limit strategic arms. It was the last surviving treaty, which comes up for renewal soon. By doing this, the US is signalling non-renewal, and also that it is untrustworthy and unwilling to honour treaties it signed. It will have to engage in arms race with Russia and China.
