  5. Wood rots, steel rusts. A modern polymer rifle if kept in the same conditions of as a wood and steel rifle will last just as long. So yes they will be around. There are M16’s that are over 50 years old that are still in great condition despite being still in combat use. Polymer isn’t that fragile.

That’s part of the reason why the Founding Fathers ditched those and replaced them with the constitution which made a stronger federal government. Electronics can be disabled or by passes, which either makes the gun useless, which is a terrible idea for a self defense weapon, which is what this is, or they don’t work and the gun is still useable, defeating the entire point of it. And that gps/wifi tracking and remotely disabling the gun is why it would never become common, at least in America. That’s what to much government overreach, not to emotion that normal guns without it would miembros in the hundreds of millions making it useless to stop crime. And no the average American gun wiener is not okay with that.
