@andyfox6943 The point is not about you forgiving or forgetting, or about her doing well. The point is : is she happy ? I am happy when my ex is happy, because I love her. Very much. Do you love your ex ? Or you only love your children ?
The point is not what Jesus wants. It's about what we want. I want joy, peace, love, life, hope, and grace, not sorrow, revenge, hate, lifelessness, hopelessness, and insecurity.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@davejones9469 You think Dao gives a shit ? You think the Chinese give a shit ? You think I give a shit ?
No, no, and no. What happens must happen. It is inevitable. Dao is inevitable, unstoppable, unavoidable, and unalterable, like the Will of God.
Don't forget. Behind every danger is some blessing awaiting, and behind every blessing is time for caution. Do you understand why the US stock markets and house markets are hitting record highs while nearly a million Americans have died of COVID and over a million cases a day ? It is really simple. The Chinese are buying.
The Chinese are smart investors. Behind the danger of high unemployment and high inflation is the blessing that those old, weak, and useless are dead, the government saves money on pensions and welfare, the young and beautiful get their inheritance early, and there are more jobs than there are people willing to work. So, buy, buy, buy.
See the way a Daoist think ? Always positive, aggressive, and optimistic. Do what is inevitable. Let be but never let go. Never go with the flow but make the inevitable inevitable.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@davejones9469 Atrocity ??? What atrocity ? Do you mean not all those killed at Tienenmen Square were criminals, that some of them may be innocent ? Sure, I'll give you that. That's called collateral damage. It's inevitable. That's Dao.
LBut look at it this way : for over 30 years since the Tienenmen Square justice, there is no more American paid protesting in China, except in Hong Kong, China.
In Hong Kong, the Chinese government could easily have killed a few thousand of the illegal protesters and end the American supported riots. But they didn't. Why ? It is because China has given Hong Kong 50 years of one country two systems. So, according to the law of the land, no criminals were killed in Hong Kong. You can try, but you won't be able to find such intelligent and civilized government anywhere in the world. Even countries like France, hundreds would have lost their lives in riots of this sort or another. It's inevitable.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@lookupthereupinthetrees9860 You are 100% correct. A person's ideas are not the person which has a physical form, limitations, and aspirations. A person is a substance with limited life. An idea, a spirit, or a soul has no physical existence. It has no limited life, no aspersions, and no death, just like the data in our hard drive like you said. Lao Tzu identified these data as Yin Yang, just a bunch of zeros and ones, that's the effects caused by Dao, the One that cannot be named, the Alpha and the Omega
For example, before a carpenter set forth to gather the material for the table he wanted to construct, he, or she, must have the idea, the form, the concept of a table in his mind. This idea, form , or concept can be taught to others by words of mouth or written down in drawings and descriptions so if he kick the bucket, someone else can still construct the table he has in his mind. With all the plans, drafts, and models made of the Titanic, the ship can be reconstructed, and the idea of the Titanic can survive even though the ship is sunk. Lao Tzu had written a book, but great teachers like Confucius, Buddha, Socrates, and Jesus didn't even write a book. By words of mouth their ideas transformed the world thousands of years after their death. Their spirits are immortal. Mine too. And yours too. Ten thousand years later people may read our comments and become enlightened by us, by our spirits.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

Our senses are not gateways. They are one way passages, only in, no out. Our mind reacts to outside info and respond with emotions followed by motions. We may respond with an angry emotion and start to punch someone. To stop all our senses is to be dead, which we all must go eventually, just a matter of time. Daoism is about living a joyful life. We can do this by applying filters to the constant bombardments of outside info. Dao allows us to be focused and persistent, like water. We live out all our hearts desires to the fullest, positively, actively, constructively, and optimistically, never go with the flow and never let go.
May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.
