@newthinkingnepal1454 Exactly. What you were saying about the cup is exactly what thirsty people say about water and what prisoners say about not getting beat up by the prison guards. You believed you like that cup even when you have not experienced having that cup because you simply believe others will say you are the best at something. That is, you assumed it is natural that you are a prisoner of thirst and public opinion. May be not even public opinion but just the opinion of a few. I personally like playing football. I had played it and I liked it. But I do not like winning because I do not like to be a prisoner of victory, and I particularly do not like watching other people play that silly game of fixed rules and regulations. In Matt 24:23-28, Jesus specifically told us not to believe in or follow the Christ or the false prophets because they are vultures who feed on dead meat, perhaps like thee. Prophecies are blasphemies, and prophets are blasphemer. No human knows God, the Words of God, or the Will of God, not even Jesus because he is a human. It's that simple. Jesus is not Christ, and Jesus is not a Christian. Jesus, Einstein, and I believed in God. We do not believe in or follow any religion, any superstition, or any political movement. Jesus is a Daoist. The teachings of Jesus and that of Lao Tzu have no conflict but consistent with each other. For example, Lao Tzu said be nice to those who are not nice, and trust those who are no trustworthy. The truth is : We are all losers. To feel you are a winner or a loser depends entirely on your focus. It's entirely up to you. The truth is : Feelings are subjective, transient, and circumstantial. To change from bad feelings to good feelings only required changing the subject, changing the time, or changing the circumstances. Do that as often as you wish. It's entirely up to you. Whose place ? Not yours for sure because you are not doing anything. You just follow the flow of others and let go of your own flow. That is the exact opposite of Daoism. Daoism is about being focused and persistent, like water, making your flow the inevitable flow that others would inevitably follow. May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.

@VBM1 Don't know which books you were referring to. If it is the Bible, the OT, Jesus and Lao Tzu both contradict such superstitions. Lao Tzu is 500 years older than Jesus. Jesus most likely learned from the teachings of Lao Tzu. That is why Jesus never described God, the Will of God, or the Way of God. What God, Words of God, or Will (aka Way, aka Dao) of God cannot be described by humans or they would not be the eternal God, Words of God, or Dao (of God). If you meant Darwinian Evolution, that one is just a fairytale. If you meant science, it needs to be falsifiable and therefore not eternal. What contradiction ?
