  2.  @tapirdeaalex7104  That is not the reason. When you have the US parked on your soil you don’t have to worry about actually paying for a home based military. You can pay lip service to it. With all that money saved, you get to have some beautiful things, like social healthcare, entitlements, etc. Your national budget does not groan under the weight of military industrial complexes, and your citizens can live wonderful lives.

  6. The EU is comprised of member states who do not share linguistic or cultural commonalities. A EU army is possible, but as long as the Europeans are hooked on the drugs that are American military assurance and socially loaded national budgets it will not happen.

  43. This is a good example of why there is no high speed rail in the USA. It is next to impossible to attain grade separation in the USA, so all it takes is one errant vehicle to cause tragedy. The price for full grade separation is extremely high.

For those who say that China could not possibly engineer the virus, please remember that China is the first nation on earth to genetically modify human embryos that were allowed to go to full term and birth. The capabilities of China's scientific community is amazing, but due to a lack of ethics and oversight the place is a wild west of unsafe experimentation.
