If one nation is given a free pass to invade another just because that nation is a failure (as a matter of opinion), then all nations should be allowed. Russia is not special, nor is China. If they are entitled to the Ukraine and China is entitled to Taiwan, then the USA is entitled to the Caribbean and Mexico and Central America.

They have national boundaries with silly laws regarding trade, but even worse the Germans are essentially running the whole show with the "Mississippi" nations perpetually in need of money from Germany. If Germany sneezes, they will catch a cold. How long do you think they are going to put up with that?

  12.  @peppersghosttheater  You know, the EU (Germany) can just come out and announce at any time that their minds are made up and they want to prize a good relationship with Russia over the concerns of the US. Obviously, the US response to this would be one of negation in that Germany would be choosing Russian energy over US security. A Russia aligned EU can and should not depend on the US for security concerns after such a decision; if this happened and Trump won in 2024, a collapse of NATO would be in the realm of possibility.
