The very nature of governments is limit the freedoms of some for the benefit of others. There can be no unity under government because they automatically create division with political parties.   18. Republicans are supposed to be all about the free market economy. The US has a drug problem because there is a US demand. We learned from alcohol prohibition that a prohibition only creates violence as we had organized crime driving around with machine guns hanging out the windows of cars and the Mafia grew exponentially. If people steal to obtain drugs we all ready have laws to deal with theft. US drug policy only creates violence. Something like 60% of Americans are on antidepressants. US drug policies only serves to keep South America unstable and increases immigration due to drug cartel violence .
