Watch Chicago if you want to see what it looks like. All the mayoral candidates say crime is out of control and we need more police. Nobody wants to be a cop in cities like Chicago though due to the demonization of the police by the democrats and their media. They are now intensely hated by many and the job is impossible and far too dangerous to stay with. This does not bode well for our future.

  8. I have a neighbor on the north side of Chicago who is a teacher who told me if a child decides to switch genders they must affirm the new identity and are forbidden to tell the parents about it. That is evil and a perfect way to undermine trust which is essential for a functional society which we no longer have. God only knows where we’ll all end up as our society unravels.

  9. I was recently watching a video of Dinesh D’Souza who’s from India. He said he grew up middle class but lived near a slum where the people were extremely poor but there was very little crime there because the people had strong cultural and religious values. In Chicago it most definitely is the crime that causes the poverty. Not even blacks will invest in black areas because of the crime. I’m retired but worked in manufacturing in Chicago for many years with mostly immigrants. Vietnamese, Mexicans, Assyrians, Jews from the Soviet Union, Indian Muslims from Gujarat and other places. All of them were appalled by black behavior and very much felt it’s blacks, not whites, who very much needed to change their behavior. Never will you read about that in the msm. I also always felt I had infinitely more in common with these immigrants than with woke white leftists born and raised here as I was.

  13. A few years ago I was talking to a Bosnian Muslim in Chicago who said he once asked a Serbian bartender why her people hated his people so much. He said she started talking about a battle 400 years ago where the Bosnians betrayed the Serbs to the Turks who then defeated them. Blacks and Woke white leftists have the same sense of grievance against white people for things like slavery and economic inequality. It’s impossible to reason with them. Our inability to move past the past has destroyed our future. In what sense is this still a country? I don’t feel I owe blacks anything at all. Let’s just stop pretending this is still a country. Not in the sense that it was a fake video but in the sense that the left immediately glued their narrative to it and then the msm ran with this narrative of racist white cop once again murders black man. I happened to read of an “abolish the police” protest march being planned in Chicago shortly after it happened where a young black woman addressing the marchers said that every morning when she wakes up she wonders if this will be the day she is killed. Was she worried about being shot by black gangbangers on the south side who shoot their fellow blacks, men, women and children, every single day? Obviously not. She was talking about being killed by a white cop who, according to the left, are randomly murdering blacks all over the country every single day. When Floyd was killed this was automatically and instantly attributed to racism and immediately cited as yet another example of blacks being murdered by racist white cops all over AmeriKKKa every single day. And this must stop!!! This demonization of the police though has made police work impossible which is why cops are abandoning it in cities like Chicago all over the country.

Excellent people and I always felt I had vastly more in common with them than with these Woke white leftists born and raised here as I was. Once a Guatemalan friend was telling me he came here legally in the early eighties and became a citizen. He said though that when we had the amnesty in 1986 a huge number of Guatemalans came here illegally, paid lawyers for documents saying they were here for decades and were then granted citizenship. This appalled him because he considered himself an American and that his country was being cheated. Just imagine the fraud we’d have with an amnesty now. I think that they’ve pretty much abandoned the idea of citizenship so amnesty is no longer even needed. Yet we still have many of our “fellow Americans” who vote for the democrats. This is just not working at all.
