  1. I’m retired but worked in Chicago with many Vietnamese, Mexicans, Assyrians from Iraq, Jews from the Soviet Union, Indian Muslims from Gujarat and many other places. All of them were appalled by black racism and behavior and very much feel it’s blacks, not whites, who very much need to change. Never will you read about that in the msm. This is just not working at all.

I live on the north side of Chicago and shortly after George Floyd died from fentanyl and a heart attack I saw an article online about a group of people on the south side preparing to go downtown to protest his death. A young black woman addressing this group said that every morning when she wakes up she wonders if this will be the day she dies. Was she talking about being shot by a black gangbanger who routinely shoot other blacks? Obviously not. She was talking about being shot by a white cop who, according to the left, routinely shoot blacks all over the country simply for being black. All mayoral candidates now talk about the need for more police but no one wants to be a cop in Chicago anymore due to the extreme danger they now face after being demonized as racist murderers by the left. And now even black cops are condemned as anti-black racist terrorists. So now we have a totally unworkable society. Our ruling class is evil.

I live in Chicago which has 47,000, mostly Venezuelan, migrants. Why are people who do not belong here prioritized over American citizens? This is open borders and no borders means no country.   6.  @gzales158  RFK supports affirmative action though which Vivek is totally opposed to. I saw a Townhall meeting where Vivek was asked what he would do on his first day in office. He said he would issue an Executive Order banning race based affirmative action. That’s exactly the opposite of what Biden did on his first day in office which was to issue an Executive Order to replace meritocracy wherever it could be found with Equity aka Equal Outcomes. These are polar opposites and irreconcilable differences. I see no common ground here. This is already a major reason why Vivek is hated by the democrats who believe in race based socialism, a sure recipe for tribal warfare.

As the bartender told you, “now I totally support Trump just to stick it to them.” Personally I prefer DeSantis and believe that Trump will be assassinated at some point if he runs. Devotion to Trump though is simply based on hate for the leftist elite class and the belief that Trump is the one who will punish them for waging war on us.

That’s not how things work in our fallen world. My hope is that something like AI GPT-4 saves us. It is moving incredibly fast due to this “emergence phenomenon” of complexity emerging from simplicity. Earlier this years I saw a Lex Fridman interview with the legendary AI researcher Ray Kurzweil who said by 2029 these language model AI will be so advanced it’ll be impossible to tell if they’re actually self aware or not and most people will simply accept that they are. Our old reality is collapsing and a new reality is emerging before our very eyes. The best of times. The worst of times.

  16. Reminds me of a guy from Ecuador I once worked with in Chicago. He was dark brown and probably full-blooded Indian. His first name was Rommel, the same as the famous German WW11 general. I once asked him about his name and he said his father admired this German general so much that he named his son Rommel. He said that he’d once gone to a Jewish doctor who asked him about his name and when he told him he was named after Hitler’s famous general the doctor was horrified. I’m sure he was.

  23. In Chicago it’s the opposite. Nobody, not even blacks, wants to invest in black neighborhoods because they’re too dangerous. The few stores in those areas are run by immigrants and their stores are like mini fortresses for their protection. Once a Palestinian opened a small store in my north side neighborhood. First time I talked to him he said his previous store was in the black west side and it was a nightmare. He said every morning young blacks would come in and scream “Hey, you m*ther f*cker!” at him for no reason at all. Plus he said if he watched his customers they’d accuse him of racism. If he didn’t watch them they’d steal whatever they could get their hands on. Plus he was always afraid of getting shot. Not at all surprising that these areas are No Go Zones.

Totally committed to Trump because he was terrified of America becoming as lawless and corrupt as Mexico. I’m retired but worked (CNC machinery) in Chicago with mostly immigrants from all over the world. The Vietnamese were very much in favor of Trump as were the Assyrians from Iraq and even most of the Mexicans because they did not like how far left the democrats were.

  46. We lack a common reality, have become incomprehensible to each other and can no longer communicate. Where is the common ground in such an infinitely wide divide? There obviously is none. This can only get worse and is getting worse by the day. Many people believe that America is simply too big and too powerful to collapse but many people also believed that about the Soviet Union. No one in 1985 would have believed that the USSR, the mighty "Evil Empire,” would be a disintegrating mess in 5 years. I told that to someone last year who said "But the Soviet Union was a collection of separate countries.” What we have here though is a collection of separate realities which is a much deadlier situation.
