Ricky Gervais only creates that many seasons in his work - he did the same thing with Derek, Extras, Life's Too Short. He even mocked (jokingly) Steve Carrel in his 2010 Golden Globes hosting by saying "Just 12 episodes and a special - quality, not quantity"

  21. ok 1) The USA didn't "defeat Britain" in your little revolution - you beat a tiny percent of Brits' overall force. If Britain had pooled it's entire force from around the world, your revolution would have been crushed within an hour. 2) The USA's record on war isn't great. You hide like cowards whenever there's a world war and even when you do show up (because you've got nowhere left to hide), you drop nuclear bombs on women and children. 3) Great Britain. Tiny series of islands in the middle of nowhere - conquered a quarter of the entire planet. The United States of America - vast nation with the most advanced military hardware the world has ever known. Couldn't even beat a bunch of farmers with machetes in tiny Vietnam.
