I practiced adult internal medicine for 30 yers, just retired. I practiced in the city with the 3rd largest gay population in the country and had a large percentage of gay patients because I truly enjoyed them as patients. I never had a trans patient until after Covid and all of the sudden it became A “ thing”. Even all of my gay patients could not understand it and were not comfortable with minors transitioning. My gay patients believed it’s really social media pushing a type of conversion therapy in a lot of young gay people that have not yet accepted that they are gay
