Planet Drinker And where did you get that fiction from? The townsfolk showed great respect for their local police as they kept them safe from the Kelly scourge. You are talking made up nonsense.
1
@numerum_bestia Silly comment. War is completely different to a criminal enterprise. Your comment is without merit.
1
@InfamoussDBZ Not really. It's a fibreglass image of him about 5 metres tall that promotes a business.
1
@devonnoneedtotrainlarratt7629 Go and see a psychiatrist. He might be able to cure you.
1
@crustytoerag Let me assure you that people are paying attention. I have arranged for several government websites to be rewritten without the myths, lies and fiction. More to go, but be assured it is happening right now.
1
@wesleytheanonymous3751 Dumb, stupid comment without foundation. Show us your evidence that the government was corrupt? You will not come back as you are talking a load of fictitious rubbish.
1
Secular Beast, if you claim the authorities were corrupt, let's see your evidence? You are just making up stories.
1
Peyote The only reason Kelly objected to the authorities, was because they were interfering in his massive horse stealing operation, where he stole the only horse poor settlers had sending them bankrupt. Your comment is way off course.
1
@emperorhadrian6011 Not true. The settlers were on their own and had to pay rent on their land just like anyone else today. The suggestion that the Irish were discriminated against is total and complete fiction. Two of Victoria's first premiers were Irish. 82% of the police were Irish. Ned Kelly murdered three Irish police officers. Your comment follows fiction sport.
1
@emperorhadrian6011 Not rewriting history, just correcting the myths, fiction and lies that proliferate across the internet.
1
@emperorhadrian6011 The rubbish written about Ned Kelly, lauding him, is a disgrace to common decency. He was a very serious vicious criminal.
1
Goblez You are correct up to a certain date, but after 1869, well before Kelly's reign of terror, the matter was well settled in the settler's favour. There were no squatters left in the Greta, Moyhu, Benalla area when Kelly was operating, stealing wherever and whenever he could.
1
MArk Crawford Ned Kelly was NEVER pushed by the government. If you claim that was the position, let's see some evidence in support?
1
Captain But understand that it's all fictitious nonsense.
1
Grimupnorth Where did you get the idea that the police that dealt with the Kelly's criminality did anything wrong? The Royal Commission of 1881 found that they acted properly. Your comment is made up fiction.
1
Connar Comstock NO. He would have been seen as a vile terrorist.
1
ToyMom OfThree Ned Kelly was nothing other than a vicious murderer. Your comment displays your ignorance.
1
TM_SHOOTING But it's all made up fiction.
1
G R Only to bogans and morons.
1
Jonathon Murderers do not qualify as heroes sport.
1
General Ned Kelly never uttered those words. You are talking nonsense.
1
@mrroberts7828 NOT TRUE. HE was in Melbourne with his mother when Kelly was in Jerilderie.
1
@aeiousupremacy Victoria was NEVER a penal colony.
1
@TheBobblefighter Only by bogans and the uneducated.
1
@TheBobblefighter Kelly is only revered by uneducated fools.
1
@emperorhadrian6011 My support is for the local settlers who were bludgeoned into submission by Kelly and his Greta Mob with his thieving ways and stand-over-tactics.
1
@emperorhadrian6011 Your understanding of the criminality of Ned Kelly is abysmal. You have no idea, and you are a follower of myths, fiction and lies.
1
Bill Badson Kelly knew the horse was stolen, and he intended to sell it for profit. He blabbed to others what he intended to do, and they gave evidence against him. A jury found him guilty, and he was rightly imprisoned for 3 years.
1
Joshua Keitaanpaa Only by goons who do not have the intelligence to recognise what they have been reading is made up fiction.
1
CRYLETH Icons do not murder, rob banks, thieve from poor settlers then stand over them and threaten to do more damage if they report the theft to police. Icons do not take hostages at gunpoint and threaten them with death if they do not obey. Your comment is well off track sport.
1
@awakeandwatching953 What a stupid comment. All I am doing is correcting the myths, lies and fiction that proliferate regarding a very serious criminal.
1
Da La You have been seriously mislead regarding this vicious criminal.
1
Brink A Warrant was not required to be in the officer's possession. Same situation as today.
1
Crazy K Why would you consider Ned Kelly a hero?
1
@stealthjohnny7361 Not true in any sense.
1
Lycan Seijin Not true. At the time Kelly's criminal empire was flourishing, the government worked hard to bring him to justice. The police did the same. Ned Kelly boasted that he had stolen 280 horses. It was more than appropriate for the government and the police to be trying to bring his criminal empire down. The Victorian government was very generous in granting poor settlers land on excellent terms. If you claim the government was evil, let's see some evidence.
1
Ethan Barnes. Educational content? Nothing educational in repeating myths, lies and fiction. This presentation is full of rubbish. It is in no way the true story at all.
1
@joceg5963 Only to the uneducated. Ned Kelly was a vicious scumbag, as the REAL evidence shows. What is presented here is fiction.
1
@murrijuana2842 If you think the cops were pushing Ned Kelly around and turning him into a criminal, nothing could be further from the truth.
1
Luke Baker What an ignorant comment. The police acted properly, addressing Ned Kelly's massive criminal empire.
1
@theprophetofthepastagod5633 You display your ignorance. Ned Kelly DID have a massive stock stealing empire. He stole stock from as far east as Gippsland and well into NSW, throughout the Riverina district and further north. He stole stock from near Melbourne and well into the western districts, as the facts show. He boasted to his hostages that he had stolen at least 280 horses and he also claimed to have stolen 400 horses from James Whitty. No doubt that last claim was fiction, but I re-iterate again, Kelly DID have a massive criminal empire relating to stock stealing. If you claim otherwise, let's see your evidence.
1
@lukebaker5135 Stupid comment Luke
1
Even that film is a load of fictitious rubbish too.
1
Luke it is obvious there was little research as what he presented here is fiction throughout.
1
tanyawriter13 The Royal Commission made recommendations that the government mostly rejected. As a result of the RC, more police were employed, training was improved, pay was increased, and police were better armed.
1
Bensjammin What is missed in this docu and just about everywhere else is the fact that she was taken at gunpoint and threatened with death if she put a foot wrong, AND Kelly told her that he would shoot her 3 children as well, if she disobeyed. That was what Kelly was like, a stand-over-thug.
1
@bensjammin5823 I only comment to expose myths, fiction and lies. Mrs Devine full well knew that Kelly had murdered 3 police officers, and he would carry out his threat. She was traumatised and suffered from Kelly's abuse for the rest of her life. Kelly was a stand-over thug, as the facts clearly show.
1
@bensjammin5823 I am well-read on the Kelly era of criminality. There are numerous accounts of how she was traumatised in well researched material. It seems that you deem it acceptable for a criminal to take hostages at gunpoint? REALLY?
1
Bruce Parr VERY TRUE. So much for Kelly caring and standing up for the Irish hey. What is in this video is fiction throughout.
1
@D-Vinko What a stupid comment.
